Shocking! This fine place closed??? Let’s hope a great old fashioned thin crust pizza joint moves in. Hopefully they will focus on service and tastebuds this time!

Pizza… Wine… Winning! I recommend Pizza A la Rocky. It’s a an olive oil base pie with a ton of roasted veggies(red peppers, potatoes, basil, etc), dollops goat cheese, and last but not least, bacon! Your mouth and stomach will thank you. Its a great combination of textures– crispy crust, sweet, chard, perfectly roasted veggies, creamy and smooth cheese, and salty meat! Their wine selection was decent. They had a good selection but it wasn’t overwhelming to choose from. The descriptions of them were good and it helped match our pizza! I’d go here again because of the food, dining experience, and price. Can’t beat this quality in the ‘burbs.

My favorite part of Pi was the atmosphere. The goat cheese appetizer was the best part of the meal. Not the cheapest place but a refreshing change of pace. I wish they had beer on tap(only could buy in a bottle).

I was not familiar with Armand’s or Pi before I moved to St. Charles. I went there for lunch because it’s near my office. My family and I love Pi. We’ve never had a bad meal and the service is always friendly. The pizza is fantastic and made with high-quality ingredients. Try the«italian beef» pizza with olive oil base and giardenera. It’s the best! I go to Pi often for lunch. They have a great carry-out special — a slice and drink for $ 3.14(pi — get it?). They also have a eat-in special — a slice, salad/soup, and drink for $ 8.95. I recommend the pasta salad. It is fantastic! My wife love’s the Pete’s Special — it’s turkey and bacon an a focaccia bread. It’s big enough to share or for 2 meals. I strongly recommend Pi. Great place with great food.

This is really my favorite pizza place in town. They just really know how to do it! I also love the bruschetta. All of the ingredients are fresh and they really try and create each pizza to your specifications. It’s my pizza of choice!

We regularly visit Pizza Pi for their lunch special. You can’t beat the deal and their pizza is awesome.

The best thin crust pizza in the Tri-city area. Meatball, hot giardiniera and garlic is the pizza of the gods at this restaurant.

Don’t be fooled by the attempted Italian décor… the food is mediocre at best, and the service, well. It sucks. Olivia, the innocent looking ‘hostess’ stands by for ever without acknowledging clientele and seems to forget once she’s seated them, that oh, they might need some menus. Then, Toppo Gigio, the high-sprung waiter runs around the small restaurant as if he’s putting out a fire at his destinations, but by the time he’s arrived, he seems to need to spin around on his heels looking about the 10 – 12 tables for answers. He rushes around for naught, no one will ever know what his goal is… and the prices, well, someone needs to shine a light on the owner’s eyes(Armand’s Pizzeria in River Forest) that they don’t quite have it together to be charging upwards of $ 25/person for pizza & some scrappy chicken sandwiches. Please don’t go here unless, you are doing someone in the owner’s family a favor.

Really solid pizza. We got to sit upstairs since the lower level was full. Our waitress blew, it took forever for her to bring a house salad and bread. We ordered the A la Rocky specialty pizza, and a pan cheese. The pan cheese was great, and the thin specialty was just right, nice and crunchy. I would go back for sure!

This place used to be called Armand’s of St. Charles and they claimed all they did was change the name. I beg to differ. The entrees have to much salt in them and I think the service is weird. Sometimes they have a waiter for you and sometimes you order at the counter. The pizza used to be good but it has changed. If all they claim to have done was change the name and keep the food the same, why change your name. I don’t believe what they say. Maybe the more bad reviews they get they might change the name again.

Bad news… had to change their name! I think they had former employees write reviews for them.

Stopped by here with the wife for a quick lunch. The service was excellent. We started with a mozzarella salad — perfectly ripe tomatoes, tasty fresh mozzarella and the right touch of spices — very yummy way to start. I had the baked gnocchi and my wife had the lasagna. Both were great — sauce was good and the portions were huge. We both had enough left over for a second meal. I had an iced tea which was great. Nice casual place for some italian food.

Although I thought the service was good, I was very underwhelmed by the food. The bruchetta was good, but its mid-july… couldn’t they have found tomatoes that were ripe? I would be more accepting of this if it were January/February. I got the lasagna. While I expect it had high quality ingredients, I didn’t really like it. My girlfriend got the baked gnocchi. She too wasn’t overwhelmed with the food and experience either.

We were in downtown St Charles for a concert and discovered this gem. We had reservations at another restaurant, but we were running late, and it was too far to go. So we saw this brightly lit wall of windows right across from the theatre, and thought we would try this lovely little restaurant instead. The food was good, prices were a delight, and service was wonderful. We will definitely come back to this restaurant, when we come back to the Arcada theatre.

For a pizza restaurant, this is probably my favorite. The thin crust pizza is perfect. Crispy, great flavors, just amazing. The upstairs has a great all of all windows looking down on Main Street of Saint Charles.

In attempt to give the burbs a chance(since I now live here… again) went to downtown St. Charles for din din. Went on a Thursday, not too busy, mostly families dining. They’ve got a great upstairs area that overlooks Main Street(get a table by the window!). We got the fried zucchini with marinara sauce, I’d write home about the marinara sauce and toss out the overly breaded zucchini sticks. Pizza takes about 30min to cook after you order. Definitely go with their thin crust(it’s what they’re known for). Too full to get dessert… maybe next time.

We ordered pizza delivery from this place last week, and liked the ‘za so much we had to check out the restaurant. The food is just as good in person, and the Monday Tuesday ½ price wine nights are a steal! Coppola Cabernet for $ 12 a bottle? Yay! The star here is the thin crust oven pizza. They make your traditional pizzas — pepperoni, sausage, etc. — but they also have 8 or so white pizzas. The signature was delicious. Dessert looked good, but it was cold so we got it to go — excellent tiramisu! Took a short side trip upstairs after dinner. Very nice, although a little noisy with a room full of kids. If they’re open late, that would be the place to be! We’ll be back!

I love this place(now it’s called Pizza Pi Perfection or something like that, but it’s the same owners and same food as Armand’s and in the same place). Anyway, their margherita(tomato basil) pizza makes me extremely excited… I usually ask for it with an olive oil base instead of tomato base, but they will gladly do either. A personal pizza is 10″ for about 7 bucks, which isn’t bad at all(I’m a big eater and I still had two or three slices to bring home with me). I also highly recommend their tomato mozzarella salad. I’ve never had anything else there, but I feel no need since I’m very satisfied with my usual.
