We had so much fun! We saw all kids of wildlife and plant life !! We even saw an alligator!!! Would definitely recommend this co! Chris our guide was excellent!

Highlight of my trip in Florida in February!!! Very informative and our guide was hilarious! Super unique experience and a must-​do to get away from the buzz of amusement parks and resorts! The alligators are not dangerous, so don’t let the steer you away.

Amazing experience with Captain Chris! The way he drove the boat was super exciting, with quick turns and speed! We saw quite a few alligators and Captain Chris definitely knew a lot about gators. Warning though, it was FREEZING cold so be prepared with thick jackets but they do provide ‘blankets’! Definitely would do again and everyone was really nice.

Had a fab time with Captain Scott! He was very knowledgeable and found a huge gator, Brutus for us to see. Very fun boat ride as well.

Awesome tour. I have two girls ages 13 and 16 and when I told him we are going on an airboat tour they were all thumbs down. I told them tough luck you’re going anyway. Well what do you know they had a great time. Captain Ken was great, we saw lots of Gators lots of birds very tranquil out on the lake. We went for one hour but I would suggest one and a half hours instead. My wife was concerned about mosquitoes and there was no mosquitoes at all out in the lake in fact there was no bugs really at all. Overall one of the highlights of our trip and highly recommend.

Capt’n ken was the best! Stayed a little late for us to give us a great 1 hour tour. Very knowledgable about wild life and plant life. Very very informative and he knows how to have a good time. Did a little cuttin’ up out on the swamp!

Awesome! Captain Chris did an amazing job! Got to see some gators and my kids and wife had an amazing time! I would definitely go again!

We took an afternoon one hour tour with Captain Kenny. He was very courteous and took time to show us an eagle and teach us about some of the plants and animals. It was great! We saw one alligator, but still cool!

Everyone we encountered from the cashier to the tour guide was very friendly and helpful. Getting to the final destination was a bit confusing because you have to pay at the office which is not where the boat launch is. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable on the animals and the vegetation of the area. We had Scott as our tour guide.

These guys really know how to show people an exciting adventure! We saw alligators of all sizes and beautiful wildlife. This was such an awesome adventure, I highly recommend for business groups, family outings, young couples, anybody! Great for all ages!

It may be the best tour in town, but with the online tickets you have to purchase the ticket and then someone will call/​email you with the time of your trip??? really???
I guess this establishment thinks I have nothing else going on other than this trip. Too many other options for this type of system. :(

My experience with Orlando Airboat Tours was so great, it’s ended my dormancy with Unilocal.
This was our last stop before leaving Orlando. Conditions were less than ideal. We caught a cab from our hotel to the airboat tour office, not knowing the dock was a drive away. After checking in and leaving our luggage, the staff was kind enough to drive us to the dock.
We had a great time despite the rain. Captain Chris had a keen eye that spotted a baby American eagle, entwined snakes, and of course– tons of gators and their nest of babies. He had an expansive knowledge of the area and shared his engrossing gator hunt stories with us. One hour definitely did not seem like enough time and I hope to return for a longer ride in the future.
We arrived back at the main office completely soaked and changed in to clean clothes while calling a cab. After several companies and almost 2 hours of wait time, we were still without a ride. In the end, one of the office staff took us to the airport herself. Her only request was to pay it forward. It was the sweetest note we could have ended our trip on!

This is a great place and a nice tour you should do when you visit Orlando, it’s not too far from the attractions and it shows you what the real Florida looks like.
The ladies in the office are very kind and helpful and we were very impressed with captain Jim’s knowledge and charisma.
Totally recommend this place.

Next time I’m in Orlando i’m going for the 2 hour tour. Ask for Captain Bill!

Today we had Captain Chris. He was a fantastic guide and was very well versed on the area. He knew every bird we asked about and pointed out numerous animals that we didn’t even see. We saw several large alligators (9 – 12 ft) and saw countless baby alligators. He knew exactly where to go for the alligators and was very knowledgable about the species. We saw several birds and also many bald eagles. Overall, this was well worth the money and I would recommend this tour to anyone. They definitely take care of you.

So much fun! Our captain was so nice, very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. This is a perfect activity for all ages — we had grandma, parents, teenagers and a 2 year old — and everyone had a wonderful time! We would definitely do this again!

Went on a 60 minute tour with Captain Bill on Friday. Literally booked online that morning, and was on the 11am tour with 2 other people (so there were 4 of us + captain) on the tour. We saw 1 gator in the distance, and then saw a mom + lots of her babies where we stopped and talked for a while. Captain Bill explained the mating habits, and taught us about the young lives of gators. pretty fascinating. We also saw 2 bald eagles and he explained some fun facts about them (they mate for life).
We were staying near Sea World, and it took less than 30 minutes to get there. I would absolutely recommend this tour. So beautiful being out in nature and seeing the wildlife.

On a recent Saturday afternoon, Chad and I ventured down to St. Cloud to experience an adventure with Orlando Airboat Tours. I have to admit, I was terrified. I have heard those stories of airboats flipping over into a swamp filled with hungry and angry alligators. Frankly, I am not really keen on being gator bait so in all my years living in Florida I have never been on an airboat tour. I’ve only seen alligators on the golf course and I know enough to steer clear and skip to the next hole and donate my golf ball to the gator’s growing collection.
We made our way down to the dock to meet our Captain and the boat. In my tour there would be myself and Chad along with 4 other fellow riders. As we climbed onto the boat, Chad and I sat in the very front and I immediately noticed the lack of seatbelts. Where are the seatbelts? I’m going to fall in the mucky water and get eaten by a… oh…I was assured the airboat is 100% safe and they don’t tip over… very often. Our Captain was a kidder!
The tour began down a narrow canal at a nice and steady slow pace. My anxiety was quickly disappearing. We entered onto the wide openness of Lake Tohopekaliga and the real adventure began.
Almost immediately we saw a baby alligator close to the side of the boat. We were reminded by our Captain that the very large Mommy gator was probably very close by. However, we never found her.
The eco system of the lake was lush. Swampy grass, lily pads even a few trees filled the area.
In addition to the several stops we took to see some of the birds, very large spiders and more gators, we spent a lot of time floating through the lake and swampy land. There was something freeing and relaxing being out in the sunshine cruising in the open air.
Perhaps the most fun was when our Captain was moving the boat quickly and then doing donuts in the middle of the swamp. Water from the lake sprayed up on us, enough to slightly dampen us but not soak us. At times the boat did feel like it was going to tip over during these maneuvers, however, I had complete trust and faith in our Captain. I was relaxed and squealing with delight.
After our 90-​minute tour we returned to the dock. Why I was ever frightened in the first place was beyond me. I just experienced an amazing thrill ride– more thrilling and exciting than anything I could find at a theme park. What a fabulous experience. We went for the 90 min ride and it was great!
Sweet and Short tips:
— Go in Jan/​Feb — less bugs and many gators!
— Wear sunglasses to stop bugs from flying in your eyes.
— Bring cash for tipping your captain.
— Make sure your phone is charged, you will want to take so many photos and videos.
— Wear bug spray.
The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because I thought it would be a little more educational and more of a «tour» than just a leisure ride. I am not complaining, it was a relaxing and gorgeous ride; we just had to ask any questions or details we wanted along the way. It was a little difficult at time too since you wear headphones for the noise, so I understand that too. A nice intro in the beginning before we took off would have been useful or each time we stopped to sightsee.
My friend scored complimentary passes since he owns a local blog. We were just there to take it all in and relax. We had another two people along for the ride that we didn’t know but they were fun. I think we all had a great time. We had Captain Bill and he was a hoot. Exactly what you would expect him to be, rough around the edges, hilarious, and knew how to get your feathers ruffled by going real fast around corners.
Rain or shine, ya’ll so I hope you get a gorgeous day when you book. Ours was a bit overcast but the weather was perfect and comfortable for a ride. The only downer (mid-​september) LOVE BUGS. Yuck! When I say they were in droves, I mean it. Never have I seen them so bad but we had to expect it with the season and the weather. I was wearing bug spray but that didn’t help at all. Each time we would slow or stop, they would just congregate on us. It was annoying but worth it for the views we experienced.
Living in FL for 14 years, it’s hard to believe I have never come across a wild gator. So, Captain Bill was on a mission to get me up close and personal. We failed. However, I did get to see so many other things including, various tiny baby gators, various birds, deer, gorgeous plants, and even wild horses. That was my absolute favorite part. There were 3 of them just playing in the water and we drove as close as we could without scaring them off. It was a religious experience. Capt. Bill suggested coming out in Jan/​Feb since Sept is gator hunting season and they are all scared and hiding.
Overall I am so happy I went and will totally go again, just want to wait till Jan/​Feb so I can see me a gator IRL!

I recently had an air boat adventure with my family while on vacation. I must say, it was the highlight of the week for me. The day was beautiful and we got to see a mama gator guarding her nest and several areas of babies, in addition to other wildlife and the beginning of the fabulous Everglades. Also, captain Scott was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend at least two hours — even that flew by!

Great tour, our Captain put on a great trip. Didn’t see any large gators but saw lots of babies and different species of birds as well as a lot of flowering plants. We had the 2 hour tour and it was well worth it.
