AWI Networks

I have now had their service for just over 4 months, in the beginning it was good I mean I could stream movies without buffering, play games and had over 10 devices connected. Now we have gone through a Buffalo Router (which they provided) faulty, they said to replace the router, and now we have a new router and I have spoken to the Customer Service 3x and they would Reset the Router & it would work for the night then it would go back to being poor at best. I have never experienced such poor service for having the Platinum Service and paying $ 59.99 per month.
I am now stuck in a 2 years contract and have 18 months left on it. This isn’t what I signed up for, I was SOLD a «Bait-​n-​Switch» Internet Service Provider.
This definitely isn’t the Reputation of a company that has been around as long as they have. Either customers just learn to accept the mediocrity of low-​rate service or they too are contracted into an agreement they can’t get out of… ($ 200 ETF).
Once I am able to come up with an Extra $ 200 I will cancel it, I pay for 14mbps and it hovers between 8 – 14 mbps… I could be getting what I pay for but they have an answer for everything at AWI Networks. Here are a few examples of excuses used by Customer Service Associates,
1) You haven’t paid your Bill and that is why your Service isn’t working (LIES — Autopay)
2) You are uploading a file and the Network can’t handle it (LIES — I don’t Upload Anything)
3) You aren’t connected correctly, (LIES — the technician was the last to person to install it)
I want to consider them a Reputable ISP, however I am not going to lie, I am not going to portray someone I am not. I tell it like it is, I was hoping for Consistency and Reliability however I cannot count on AWI for being that.

I was skeptical and frustrated for a few weeks when my Internet was not working correctly consistently getting low speeds. Had a few techs come to fix the problem but could not, even with them graciously giving me higher speeds for the same price. Thought I would have to switch services which I didn’t want to bevause I’ve been with awi for years and have always been happy. One last tech came to my house for 3 hours in the evening, ran new cable, changed fittings etc, until it was working properly and has been since. Their speeds for the price may not be as high, but they are dedicated to maintain those speeds and taking care of their customers

The internet connection issues we’ve had aren’t nearly as discouraging as the tremendously poor service we’ve received from the «tech’s» we’ve had visit our home. My parents also use AWI and have had similar issues to my own.
