I am giving Columbia River Motosports a 5 star rating not only to balance out the bias towards their service department, but because buying from them was truly a great experience. I have not used their service department, so I can’t speak to represent that area. However, when it comes to the sales department, they cannot be beat! Jeremy, the Sales Manager, sold me my bike, and it went flawlessly. First, he held the bike for me for almost a month, without deposit, and without going in, in person. After a quick chat on the phone he agreed to make sure my bike was spoken for, and not touched. Other dealerships basically told me to eff off. Then they matched a sizable coupon I had for the bike, from another dealership, which I received through the team Oregon course. Then they found financing which worked for us. Other dealerships made similar offers, but CR Moto was able to beat them. Jeremy was one of the nicest guys I’ve met in a while, and he was also my salesman? Weird! Keep it up buddy! After my sale, I was given a decent discount on parts and gear. A month later, I went back in for more parts, mentioned I bought the bike from them, and got the same discount! Big stealerships would have told me to eff off, again. When I do buy another bike, I am going back here. Eventually, I will likely go here for service. When I do, I will update my rating accordingly. If they are exceptional yet again, they will be getting another great review. Cheers Columbia!

On one of our Quad riding vacations, we blew the transmission in the razor. My boyfriend had a good idea that is what the problem was. We took it into this Polaris store and they tell him they think it is something else and they will have to take it apart to see for sure. They quote him an amount and he approves the work. It takes them a week to get the part in and wait his turn in line to get the work done. The shop calls him back and tells him they replaced the parts fixed what they thought was the problem but it is still not working right. They now think it’s the transmission. Hmmmm… my boyfriend asks what is the worst case scenario and they figure it to be about $ 1200 worst case. Boyfriend oks the ordering of the parts and goes in to get the written quote. He goes in and they advise him again that the quote is more along the lines of $ 3100 to rebuild the transmission. Unbelievable!!! When he told me about what was transpiring I told him to get on the phone and call another Polaris store. That stored told him that a brand new Transmission was cheaper than that by about $ 400. Really?! Geez, the dang thing is in pieces, it is not like boyfriend can tell them just stop we are taking it someplace else. He calls back the Columbia River Polaris but they are now closed. The very next morning he is there when they open and he advises them of the other Polaris store advisement of a brand new transmission. They adjust their quote and are willing to order the brand new transmission. He approves the order and goes on his way. A week goes by(the parts should now be in) and boyfriend wants to be sure they are starting the work so we can have it in time for the Labor Day weekend. Oh and by the way, these quotes are coming from the Service Manager Shane Close. Well, when calling in for an update boyfriend now finds out that the Razor is in the back of the line waiting to be worked on. REALLY?! They give the wrong diagnosis then put him in the back of the line to hopefully be done correctly. Everyday for almost two weeks boyfriend calls to see if they have started working on the razor and when will it be done. Every day it was either no, or still working on it and still not done. I asked him for two weeks to let me talk to them. He said no, it is ok. On one of our errands I asked him to drive by and stop to see where they are on his Razor. We did, it was still in pieces. Boyfriend is totally bummed. I on the other hand and getting red hot for these guys to take advantage of his good nature. Boyfriend spends major money here. He bought his son’s Quad from these guys. He is a regular customer. Finally last Friday the day before the long Labor Day weekend, BOYFRIEND calls them for an ETA of the Razor. It is done and he can come get it. We get there and the young man quotes him $ 3400 for the Razor. OMG! It took everything I have not to blow a Gasket. Boyfriend is very nice and gives him the written quote. I on the other hand can no longer hold my tongue and give him a piece of my mind. This is unacceptable! You quote us and the number keeps going up and even now we come in with the money and you tell us it is more! We should only have to pay the quoted price at the very least. He says he will have to get someone else to make that call. Absolutely, We want to see the manager. He is on vacation we are told and I told him well I know you have no authority here so we want to see who is in charge. The Sales Manager Jeremy comes in and boyfriend advises of what is going on. He looks over the new quote and says he sees nothing out of the ordinary everything looks right with 7 hours of laborer. OMG, here I go… what are you talking about? Only 7 Hours of labor; you all have had this bike for over a month and only worked on it for 7 hours! It has been in pieces, you have put him in the back of the line over two weeks ago after boyfriend had originally told you he thought it was the transmission. No, you guys fix the wrong thing and now want to charge us even more then the written quotes. Looks like BAIT and SWITCH or something here. What the heck?! Jeremy doesn’t want to talk to me… he looks at boyfriend and tells him in a very nice tone you he is really sorry but it all looks right. Boyfriend says he understands(too nice) he is not mad. I look at Jeremy and said well I am! You guys are taking advantage of him and you know he spends a lot of money here. Maybe he should start taking his business someplace else. Jeremy says well no promises but let me go make a call. Boyfriend tells me he doesn’t want to be mad at Jeremy, it isn’t his fault. The Service Manager is the one that writes up these quotes. I told him but they including Jeremy are representing the company. They need to make some kind of concession. Well, Jeremy catches boyfriend in the back and knocks it down to $ 3150 and promises he will be bringing this up with the Service Manager. Not enough of a concession. Hmm… never again if I have any say in the matter.
