History

Established in 1878.

1878 Chesmore Seed Company started by A.M. Chesmore as a seed & implement service. | 1900 C.R. Chesmore, Sr. took over mgmt. of Chesmore Seed Company. |1954 Chesmore Seed & Nursery Company opened their new location at 806 S. Belt Hwy. | 1959 Ellary & Elvira Bennett & Web Stevenson became new owners & changed the name to Bennett’s Nursery & Garden Center. | 1974 George Ferbert took over & changed the name to Ferbert’s Garden Center. | 1988 Coy Butner purchased the company & changed the name to Butner’s Old Mill Nursery. | 1997 Todd Howe purchased the business & changed the name to Old Mill Nursery. | 2002 Old Mill Nursery relocated to a brand new facility at 805 S. 36^th St. | 2005 GrassPad, from Kansas City, leased the property from the Old Mill Nursery. | 2009 Old Mill Nursery is back!
