History

Established in 2010.

Absolutely IN! Events partners Ellen, Teresa and Alecia formed the company late in 2009 and officially opened for business in January 2010. Our first event was a Bar Mitzvah for our Attorney’s son. It not only put us in business, we proved to ourselves that we were very good at planning and coordinating events. Since then our business has grown and is predominantly planning and coordinating weddings. We have expanded to our own space which we call the «studio» because this is where we work to create our fabulous events. The name of the company came from an email Ellen sent to her daughter-in-law Alecia asking her if she wanted to join her in the event planning business. Her reply, «I’m absolutely in!»

Business Owner

I was a practicing attorney. I wasn’t ready to retire, but I definitely wanted a career change. I have always loved to plan and hostess parties. And people loved to be invited because my rule was simple, make your guests your focus. So I formed an event planning company and became a planning professional. I tell people that the skill set required is pretty similar for each profession, but my clients now are happier people and more fun to work with. I bring my strong organizational skills to the table, and I can also help my clients to read and understand the contracts they have to sign when hiring their vendors.
