AJ Nail

Just left this place due to unhygienic practices! The tech had me sit in a pedi chair that had not been cleaned. I was unaware of this fact before I sat down. The chair I was seated in, and the chairs on either side had wet towels on the foot rests. When I sat down the tech replaced the wet towel at my chair with a clean dry towel, but she did not fill the bowl. She went to finish up her manicure client and returned several minuets later. (not a problem). When she returned she asked what type of pedicure I would like and filled the bowl. She asked me to test the water with my feet. The water temperature was acceptable so she had me keep my feet in the water and added the soaking salts… Immediately after adding the salts another tech called my tech over and they had an exchange that ended in the tech telling my tech to drain the bowl my feet were in. I thought this was odd and waited to see what was the problem. As the bowl was draining my tech got out the cleaning supplies and began scrubbing the bowl next to me and picking up the wet towels. I immediately knew what the problem was— they hadn’t sanitized the pedi bowl they had me soaking!!!
I asked my tech «was the bowl not cleaned before you had me put my feet in it?» She answered «we’re not sure…»
I was disgusted! I instantly took my feet out of the water and explained that I was leaving!
There was no apology, nothing. Please beware of their hygiene practices before you put your hands or feet into their bowls or let them use their tools on you. If I could give this place zero stars, I would! I will NOT return!

I’d give 0 stars if I could! Too many people work on you, too slow & a mani/​pedi with an appointment takes 2.5 hours! They SUCK! DO NOT GO HERE!

I would NEVER recommend anyone EVER going here. My first and only experience with this place was horrible! When the technician started on my nails I should have known to walk away. I had gel polish on over my acrylic nails and she was going to soak them to get it off, which I had to correct. Next I paid these people before they painted my nails, big mistake! I asked for French tips, which were hand painted on and had no arch to the white, followed up with only one clear coat over the top so I could feel the raised white tips. The worst part of all, when I woke the next morning (less than 24 hrs) my nails were YELLOW! I am not a smoker or one that goes to tanning beds, it was disgusting!

After having bad experiences at two nail salons, I decided to try AJ Nail because it was close to my home. When I walked in the door, Anthony, the owner, greeted me with a smile and made me feel comfortable right from the start with his friendliness. Even though it was 45 min. until closing, he told me that they could give me a mani and pedi right then. Their place was so clean and decorated very pretty. Helen, the nail tech, that gave me my mani and pedi was excellent! She did a marvelous job, taking her time and asking me as she went along if I liked the shape she was doing my nails, etc. Everything didn’t get done until an hour after they closed, and they never complained or tried to hurry it along. Their pricing is very reasonable. I am so pleased that I have my new «nail home» and will recommend them to all my friends. They know how to run a business and make a customer feel special. Thank you, AJ Nail! You have made my day!

AJ Nail was fantastic. Super clean, since it is fairly new… I think it’s been open about 7 months. AJ himself did a fabulous job on my mani/​pedi. He even assisted me in picking out my Crackle and base color combination, testing different combos out on the nail manikin for me to see. He was very professional, gave a great leg and hand massage, and was thoughtfully polite, bringing me over a plethora of magazines and turning on my massage chair. Cool dude.
At $ 35, my spa manicure and pedicure package was a worthwhile treat for myself. I will definitely be returning, maybe this time for gel nails. We shall see.
