History

Established in 1946.

The history leading up to Beyers Lumber Company as it is known today began in the early 1900’s with Ed Beyers, Sr. Ed had been involved in several business ventures one of which was a lumber broker at the age of 18. A hard worker and determined man he set his sites toward the future.

In 1946, Beyers Lumber Company was established by the father and son team of Ed Beyers, Sr, age 55 and Ed Beyers, Jr. age 32. They began their biggest venture on a few leased acres and some storage buildings which were located about ¼ mile west of the current location of Beyers Lumber Company. The lumberyard remained at that site until 1954 when the purchase of eight acres made it possible to move to its current location. They built and leased several buildings on this site which they named Beyers Industrial Court. One of these buildings was occupied by the lumberyard office until 1963 when the current office and showroom were constructed.

The current owner, Ed Beyers III started working in the business
