Big Lots

Gather around, I’ve got a story to tell about a snobby shopper, that I know very well. He always shopped at the big name stores and never gave any thought to going to a Big Lots store. Until one day he was checking out the Burlington store next door for a specific item and thought, what the hell I might as well check out Big Lots, too.
To his surprise, BL was nothing like he thought it was. It was well organized and clean as well.
Who would have thought, a discount store would be this well maintained and have bargains galore as well. It had everything from kitchen gadgets, cleaning supplies and garden accessories. Big Lots even had party supplies like Party City. He never dreamed items like these would have been found at his local Big Lots store.
Even though the snobby little shopper did not buy anything on his first visit to a Big Lots store, he knows he will be back. When spring is finally here and it is time to do spring cleaning and fix up the backyard, he’ll be giving Big Lots another try. The Shepherd’s Hook with a Solar Light is going to be looking mighty fine his backyard.

Why: First Time to a Big Lots Store

Yeah this place is convenient and has some alright deals, but honestly i wasnt a big fan of there saff, and there attitude, i know some people can have some off days but eh, i think ill just take a few more minutes to drive to target that is nicer and has a lot friendlier staff than here…

I like this place. Buy the one cup coffee maker by kitchen Selective’s it works great and is low cost.

Great service was rendered to me at the time I purchased a recliner. Entire staff was excellent. I intend to buy from them in the future.

Prices seemed nice and low on a lot of things. I was in line for more than 15 minutes while the line just got longer as two people were consulting the cashier about prices and which products to buy, she should have moved things along, but the most annoying part was the other employees standing around obviously noticing the line is being held up. We just dropped the stuff we were going to buy and are going somewhere else.

wow i never knew big lots sold such a wide variety of items at reasonable prices. they have everything from food stuffs, seasonal décor, greeting cards, household items, toiletries, toys and furniture.
they’re furniture is good quality and very easy to purchase. i actually found my sofa here for great price! it took no time for the employees to get my brand new couch loaded up in the truck. check it out!

Like a kid in a candy store, once I step foot inside, it’s on and crack-​a-​lacking! I NEVER go with a list instead, I go with a sheer determination to find new things and take my time to enjoy ALL that BL has to offer! I simply LOVE all of the BL here and away! Each one has their own flavor to offer aand trust me, you will find «something» that you may not have thought of or wanted to buy (thanks to my 11 year old)! LOL! Take a Saturday and get out to actually visit the other BL in the metro STL area… straight out Manchester… waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out Manchester past 141, there’s another one on Watson, and I believe there’s one in the Valley. Try them and see for yourself what the hype is about!

This is my go to store. They have just about anything you need much cheaper than anywhere else. Trick is they put out seasonal items about 3 months ahead of time so you have to buy early. Great place to get pet stuff.

This is the best Big Lots I’ve ever been to. I’m serious. It’s like a Target in there, seriously. They have EVERYTHING, and it’s super organized. Unbelievable. I can’t believe I have lived here for, like, 6 months and am just now discovering this place.
I think this place should just be called Lots, though. I can judge for myself how big it is.

I’ve always been thrifty at heart. Why go to Schnucks when Aldi has it cheaper? Do I really want to pay more for my everyday junk? Heck no. That’s why I’m a huge fan of Big Lots. Ever since I was a wee one, my mom was dragging me into BL or places like it for a bargain. I love you, Mom.
Big Lots is known for their closeouts, and since the economy is tanking, their stores are getting more stuff from the big retailers going out of business. They have almost everything, from furniture to food, housewares, some clothing (my mom got a pair of Levi’s 501s for $ 8 last year) and personal care items. You may not find exactly what you want, but you’ll spend some time just browsing.
