My reason for the 5 stars, it’s simple read the reviews. The Italian food is delicious, the drinks perfect and the service(Gina) spot on. Try it you’ll love it salute

My colleague and I were taking a day from a conference to explore St Louis. We ended up in this neighborhood and discovered Brazie’s(by looking at Unilocal of course). There was no one there mid week for lunch, we had the place to ourselves. The food was good, old style Italian, but for me a bit dated(so was the décor). My colleague and I split a meal, but still found it a bit pricey.

Honestly. This is what the South City Italian restaurant should be. Family owned. Food is outstanding and a very friendly atmosphere. Had the steak and it was delicious. The Shrimp Sambucca was awesome. Really brought me back to what the Hill used to be. Ask for Jim, great service!

This is a traditional old-school Italian restaurant. They offer some Italian staples – arancini, speidini, pastas and what not. I tried the fresh fish of the day – which they get in that day and offer different preparations. The tuna was okay, a little over cooked but good. They had a delicious artichoke and shrimp appetizer with a creamy spinach sauce over it and it was sooooo good. Bartender makes strong drinks and they have some affordable Italian wines on their menu. Cute little space that seems to have a strong regular following. Service was also excellent. Not my favorite Italian place here but definitely good!

Saturday night birthday dinner. Great as always as we find our way back to Brazie’s often. Great atmosphere, food(of course), service(always great) and the chance to sit at the bar for a bit while waiting for our table. Very festive birthday and holiday mix!

Last night first time visit. The service was good. The veal cutlet was great, though I found a hair in my pasta. I had to stop there. The rest of the table was not impressed enough to return again.

Amazing night. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, wonderful staff and service. What more could you want? Ok, it wasn’t perfect, the chairs in the back room were not comfortable. I heard more than one person say something. But other than that minor thing, it was a great night. I felt almost pampered. The Tenderloin was the best I ever had. We even had dessert, which is a rarity. The ice cream was great, natural vanilla. The Bananas Foster, while not prepared table side, was decadent. Go, you will enjoy it and be sure to ask about the night’s specials.

This place… Wow. Walked in on a Tuesday 15 minutes after closing for lunch. Was greeted by an unlocked door and a smiling gal who was happy to take my dinner reservation for that night. So, we went! And it was out of this world. I’ve eaten at some exceptional Italian restaurants across the country and this easily ranks in the top 5. Hell maybe 3. I had trouble deciding which entrée to get, but i ended up getting the peppercorn filet. Perfectly prepared, melt in your mouth good! The accoutrements that came with the meal weren’t just there to be pretty either. The most unusual dipping sauce to accompany the excellent bread will never be forgotten and the salad was unique and simultaneously fantastic! We had a desert cake we split amongst our group that was just right. A custom Italian style cake that was very good. Not too sweet or overpowering. Only thing I could find that was a bit of a disappointment was no cappuccino machine on site for an espresso. But hey, I can get that anywhere! I am lucky enough to frequent Saint Louis a few times a year and I will certainly be back for a visit to try even more.

I’m a native St Louisan who moved away several years ago and came back on business. I was trying to find a good but casual place to go to dinner with my boss and I found Brazie’s onYelp. It had good ratings and I completely agree! I had the tortellini and I can’t remember which chicken dish my boss had but he said it was really good. The food was hot and fresh and very tasty. Nothing less than I’d expect from a restaurant on The Hill. I’d totally recommend this restaurant and I would for sure visit again when In town. The family places on The Hill are just the best and this is one of those places.

I’m always looking for new places to eat. My doctor is just down the road, so I decided to try it. When they weighed me at the office, I said … Man, lunch today weighed 2lbs! They laughed and asked where I ate. I told them and they had no idea(even though you can practically see it from their office) and now I know why. The good reviews must come from family or friends. The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. If you took out the wine fridge and tables, it could easily be a doctors office, dentist office, school main office… Anything sterile and bland. It had no character or attempt to create a warming environment for their Italian cuisine. They also looked at me like a second class citizen in their«fancy» restaurant because I was wearing lululemon workout stuff. Anyway, the food… I ordered the shrimp Dijon. It was listed just like that with a side. The side choices were spaghetti or carrots. Both weird for a shrimp dish in a garlic mustard sauce. I chose the spaghetti. It’s a good thing because they served me exactly four small shrimp. Just four in the sauce with the random spaghetti as a side which I needed because that shrimp wouldn’t satisfy a child. It was insanely freezing in there which the waitress admitted was because she was hot. I ordered coffee to warm up and it was served with coffee mate packets. They didn’t even have real cream. For a restaurant that probably serves a lot of dessert and coffee, I’m surprised they didn’t have real cream or half and half. It cheapened the already mediocre meal. Everyone raves about the salad on here, but it’s repulsive. Although the dressing is tasty and unique, it’s white lettuce doused in dressing and there may or may not have been a cucumber. It had no nutritional value(ala pasta house salad) and no vegetables. My server was very sweet, but another girl working was complaining about whatever and I could hear her. I thought the food was a waste of $ 14 for the meal, and the coffee a necessity to warm up. I would not eat here again. They’ve been in business for a while, but I don’t see how unless there are some things on the menu that are nothing like what I or my friend ordered(she got a sandwich with the side option of spaghetti!). I thought the menu was slim and poorly constructed. Honest, I’d pick Olive Garden over this any day of the week. And I hate chains!

This place is a great, it’s one of our favorite places to eat in all of St. Louis. We always get an appetizer, we have tried every one but the shrimp and artichoke is our favorite. Every steak we have had there is perfectly cooked and the sauces they make are so delicious. Sometimes we just go in for pasta and my favorite is the salmon pasta. Save room for the Cassata cake!

I went for lunch and had a chicken dish with artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes and capers(~$ 16.99). It came with a salad and a choice of vegetable or pasta. This is a fancy joint for ME for lunch. Linen tablecloths and napkins. No drive-through. And they’ve got their own parking lot. The salad was fabulous with a sweet Italian dressing, fresh greens(no iceberg), cheese, onion and a few grape tomatoes. It was served in a nice bowl, so I could toss without throwing the lettuce all over the lovely linen tablecloth. And it was a hefty-sized salad. Ordinarily, I would choose the vegetable with my entrée but since this was the first time I’d ever been here, I thought I should try pasta, it being an Italian restaurant. So, I chose the shells in white sauce. The chicken was moist and tasty, with such an abundance of artichoke hearts, capers and sundried tomatoes. No skimping here. With every bite of chicken, I got some of everything. The pasta was creamy, but a little underflavored/underseasoned — the taste just wasn’t all what it should have been. Service was spot-on attentive and friendly. She explained a lot of the dishes to me, so I had a better understanding of flavors and textures before I ordered. And she was patient with me. My generous to-go vessel was two additional meals. The chicken and the pasta both reheated well.

I LOVE Brazie’s! This is definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in St. Louis. The atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly, and it’s just a great place to be. I always get the Tenderloin Modega… ALWAYS! It’s a delicious piece of beef topped with a white wine sauce, provel cheese, and pieces of prosciutto. You can’t go wrong. Salad is a must as well. The house dressing is sweet and a tiny bit tangy, and it perfectly compliments the provel and prosciutto. The tortellini is fantastic as well. I got that a few times before I fell in love with the tenderloin. Dessert wise, the cassata cake is always delicious and for something different, try the bananas foster, it is so good! Whether it’s two people or a group of 15 dining, the food and service are always excellent.

We had a group of 8 and enjoyed the food and service. I ate the chicken brochettes which came w a salad and veg or pasta. Ask for Jim. He’s hilarious and possibly the best waiter I ever met. He brought us. A free dessert to share since we were first-timers . Avg cost per couple abt $ 50. Drinks were made well with enough alcohol. $ 10 cork fee allows you to bring in your own wine. Restaurant not too fancy for casual attire and spacious enough for you to hear table conversation.

The service here has always been great. The stuffed filet is fantastic. The house salad is also dynamite, when we get a to-go order we always ask for extra dressing so we can put it on out own lettuce the next day, it’s that good.
