Decent café on the UMSL campus. It’s inside the library which makes it convenient not only for library-goers, but also for people who get stuck on that side of campus — far from all the other cafes. I’ve had several classes in Stadler, and each time i’m thankful for Café TJ’s location. They sell starbucks coffee/espresso and they also have pre made sandwiches(i’m only a fan of their PB&J, Turkey is not good). Their donuts are terrible, don’t waste your money. Good location for a quick coffee.

If you’re a student on campus, this is definitely one of the best spots to get work done. With bar-style seating right next to the window, there’s constant exposure to sunlight which takes a little strain off your eyes while you use the computer. Plus you’ll have access to the free wifi available from the library; this place is perfect for group projects or team meetings, because you’re not really allowed to talk in the library. Now the food is nothing to speak of. Like Kristie said, it’s just pre-wrapped sandwiches and stuff from the Nosh; I’m not even sure how fresh the stuff is. AND it’s overpriced, just like everything else on campus. They offer a decent selection of Starbucks coffee to keep the caffeine buzz going, so you’ll thank them during those long study hours. As far as UMSL’s cafes go, this is my favorite. Make sure to bring your own food, so you don’t go outside your budget eating on campus, and learn the operating hours because they are different every day.

it’s not really a café as most of the stuff isn’t prepared on site, but brought over from the cafeteria of UMSL, but meh, I go there for coffee while studying. They don’t offer the full Starbucks drinks menu(though they claim to — or at least did) as a Caramel Apple Spice is nowhere on the menu. The drinks can be inconsistently made, but I feel like that’s true even at Starbucks itself. All in all? Nothing special, but I definitely was grateful for this place during finals week last semester. Oh and the hours? They change randomly.
