Convenient for me and if you catch the buffet during the lunch period it is a fair price. That being said, they will wait until the last dog is hung before they put out new/hot food. Room temp Chinese food is not necessarily bad, but some things do not pass the test. Soups, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and their scrambled eggs are just not at their best when left to sit out. I will give them this, their crab Rangoon is delicious and I am a big fan. General Tso’s chicken is good when hot but they let things sit out and chicken will tend to get dry in that condition. Everything else is par or sub par. If you eat in, sodas and refills are free — do not overlook that because you get hosed these days on soda prices. If you want your food hot, though, don’t take the chance. Hans Wok is up the street on Woodson.

One star? Can I give less than one? I’ll give it one star just because the Pepsi was fizzy. Ambience: there are two TVs playing simultaneously the Dr. Phil show but about a half second out of sync. The effect is to be in an echo chamber filled with shrieking harpies swirling about my beleaguered consciousness leaving me dizzy and slightly panicked. Food: the soup had noticeably evaporated leaving them a condensed thick goo with a nearly impenetrable film over the top. I did not attempt to taste as my health insurance may not cover it. The egg rolls were possibly flavorful early in their lives, but they were room temperature by the time they made it to my plate and this diminished their charm. The chicken and broccoli was coldish and the chicken itself was disturbingly soft in a too-old manner. Oddly enough, by comparison, the rest of the available chicken dishes required an exercise in competitive mastication, as dried out tough as they were. I’m grateful for the free soda that was handily used to wash it all down. I’m looking at a phrase at the bottom of the menu board that says it will«see you soon.» I sincerely hope this is said in jest.

The buffet has somewhat good sort of food. But you can taste that the food has been on tge line to long. The one. Person that waits on take way to long to refill your drinks even with the customers in the restaurant. This is just ok id you don’t want to drive far for a good Chinese resturant,

First, the pros: a soda was included in the price(9.75 for dinner) and there was a gas station near by with really low gas prices. Beyond that, the food looked like it had been out a long time, the ice cream was«pre scooped» into a dish a put in a freezer, the soup had a thick film on it(as mentioned in another review), there wasn’t a big selection, and for a Saturday evening, the size of the crowd(2 other people) probably reflected the quality. The peanut chicken was unique and I liked the taste, but the rest was definitely below average.

Food oily and not much options. Only thing good is the price is cheap(like little bit more than 7) and it’s including soda.

Another visit on 04÷21÷13, wonderful. Myself and my guest had a wonderful filling of awesome amounts of Chinese food.

This was the worst place I’ve ever been. The food was so old it was dry and tough. The soups had film so thick on them from sitting that it was almost a solid layer of horror on the top. There was NO selection, all of the stuff was cold and I almost asked to use their microwave. Their ‘fried rice’ was sitting in a pot that steamed/boiled rice. It had no flavour, no seasoning, it was soggy and greasy. Their steak and peppers were like beef jerky in an over dried sauce. Everything was disgusting. There wasn’t ANYTHING good. We actually left after attempting to ‘try’ to find ANYTHING worth the price to eat and went for burgers. And this was during normal ‘dinner’ hours on a Tuesday night! DONOTEATHERE. It’s a waste of money, time and energy. I dont understand how this place is still in business after all these years? It was the worst experience I’ve ever had a a Chinese buffet and I’ve found a roach on my plate at one place. The food here makes the thought of eating that roach, seem like a fine mid done filet mignon. Avoid this place at all cost. I can’t put into any more words how HORRIBLE it is. I still wish my date could have gotten his money back!

Stopped in for lunch today. Someone at China Fun knows how to cook. Everything tasted great. The best thing about it was the price, only $ 7.20 with tax and that includes a soda. I do have a complaint that is not insignificant: about a third of the items I tasted were not hot enough, and cold Chinese food is generally not good. Most of the time, you can tell there is no steam coming off and just avoid that dish, but sometimes it’s hard to tell. Of course this can be avoided if you show up at 11 when they open. I guess that would be for a late Chinese breakfast… Bottom line — 3.5 stars rounded up. Give it a try if you’re in the area and you like Chinese. Especially if you’re not a stickler for proper temperature. I’ll definitely be back.

Ok. This is not the best chinese food I’ve ever had; it’s actually not even in the top 5 of chinese food joints in St. Louis for me. For some reason though, I have a great fondness for this place. It’s the way I like my chinese buffets — instead of having an overwhelming quantity of dishes, 60% of which suck royally, China Fun has a set menu of buffet dishes that they frequently re-fill and that maintain the same quality no matter when you visit. I really love their chicken and mushroom dish and find myself craving it from time to time. They also serve green beans that I really like as well as a tasty bbq rib type dish(not at all like my beloved Char Siu but good nonetheless). Again, I’ve had significantly better, but this is a solid bet for a buffet with good dishes that is reasonably priced and never too crowded(from my experience).

I like this little hole in the wall. From the dippable Blue Bunny ice cream freezer to the location, it qualifies as a hole, but a good hole, not great, but good. I go there for lunch and they don’t have a great number of choices, but what they do have is well prepared and tasty. Enough good choices to make me come back.
