«There’s more bacon on a Vincent Van Doughnut’s maple bacon doughnut than in a Denny’s Grand Slam.» These doughnuts are nothing short of a masterpiece. Nothing else comes close. I will go out of my way to get up early to find them at Straub’s or track them down elsewhere. Seriously next level doughnut game. French toast & maple bacon are my staple favorites, but lemon poppyseed is awesome too! Always great, unique flavors and combinations to blow your mind. THEBEST!

Best doughnuts ever! My favorite is by far the maple bacon. I wish they sold them out by my house. Every Time I go to the city I try to pick one up!

Hands down the best donuts in Stl. They may not be as «strange» as some competitors but all of their dough is handmade from scratch unlike Strange. My boyfriend and I look forward to these every weekend. Yes, you may pay $ 4.50 for a doughnut, but it is well worth it. They’re all great!

Had the donuts twice. Once from Straubs, once from Clyde. The guy in Clyde was super nice! Got the raspberry lemon, a chocolate one, and strawberry filled cream cheese. The donuts are delish. The $ 3 donuts have very tasty dough then the glaze adds the flavoring. They are good, but a little pricey. The strawberry filled was my favorite. It’s $ 4 but you pay for quality. Recommend you try these, donuts are very tasty, light, not greasy.

I bought these at Straubs the first weekend they were available there… Maybe it was just the flavors I got stuck with… The Maple Bacon was good, but the ones with the white glaze/frosting were not very good at all… Certainly they not anything to write home about. They’re obviously quite popular as they were almost all sold out by 9:30 or so the morning I went… I know one of my coworkers(they’ve stopped by our place of business in their truck) loves them… While the one I liked was good, I don’t quite think it was worth the cost…

I really wanted to love these as they are now readily available at Straub’s on the weekends but they are too bready and incredibly expensive. I had the french toast, highlander, PB&J, and honey glazed. The toppings were all very good but unfortunately they cover a mediocre, unflavorful, and too bready donut. Color me disappointed. Please note that these are SIGNIFICANTLY better than Strange Donuts, but still not good donuts. .. ..

I had to try this new truck which showed up outside out business. I love donuts! I managed to get two co-workers to go in on this adventure with me. This way we bought 3 doughnuts and could try each. There was no disappointment in the results. What was interesting we each picked a different favorite. I was going to comment and say ‘this one was better that that’ but since the 3 of us put the donuts in different orders I feel ALL were enjoyable. Just have to know what you like! The gentleman serving was in good spirits for the cold morning. He probably left in better spirits as he sold out.

i’m not a doughnut type of gal but my boyfriend couldn’t resist trying the maple bacon doughnut. it looked and tasted amazing! i needed to get one myself. i went for the chocolate highlander. it was delicious and had sprinkles of crumbled expresso beans. yum! they may seem a bit pricy but the doughnuts are quite large and totally worth it.
