Decided to try Cuz with 2 other coworkers due to one of us had a coupon. The place smelled like stale cigarettes. It was lunch time and there was only two other customers in the entire place. We all ordered the Blackened chicken sandwich with tots. It took almost 45 minutes to get our food. When the food finally arrived, the chicken was a very small portion. It also tasted frozen and then microwaved. The tots were crispy and ok. Only one other customer came in while we were there. The bartender/waitress was not very attentive… very busy on her phone. She even disappeared for a bit and came back in a different a different outfit. I don’t think we will try this place again… even with a coupon!

I have to say this place is more of a bar to me than a restaurant, some of the food items are not freshly prepared, taste more like canned or frozen ingredients, but they do put it together nicely for meal. I probably gave them a lessor mark at some point, but I have to say if I focus more on the bar aspect of the business, I can give them a 3 star. They really did not have the best customer service there was, and it is not my cup of tea for wanting to sit down and have enjoy the ambience and a meal. This place is really a bar and quick grill to be honest. I was going here hoping to find a tasty little gem that would be similar to Applebee’s or 54th street. If you are coming from the game or shopping at the farmers market and want a great little meal fast and you are not worried about taste this is the place. Looking for drinks and conversation and not so much as food, give this a try. Very casual and easy going.

This place is an example of what you get when someone buys any old building(in this case an old restaurant that has been several types of eateries) and slaps«bar» on it and starts slinging drinks. The place has no character and doesn’t even feel like a bar. It’s like someone opened an empty space, put a bar in it and said«let’s drink.» There isn’t much seating with the exception of a few bar stools and tables and the rest of the space appears to cater to what some would refer to as a dance floor. Don’t get me wrong, if you are just looking to get your drink on and do not care about where you do it, this place will serve the purpose. But if you are looking for some place that resembles a bar, then you shouldn’t have a difficult time finding better than this place.

Not a bad place if you’re just looking for a place to drink. Decent dance floor. Main problem is the dj is plain awful. Cuts a song off right in the middle even if half the bar is dancing to it. Kind a ghetto but still will have a good time if you keep you expectations low!

Can’t say what the bar was like inside as we never got in the front door. We had just left the ballgame and decided to go to Social House in Soulard for a drink. When we found them to be closed we went across the street to Cuz. Worst mistake ever. Before we could even get in the bar, some stripper waitress comes barreling out and said my girlfriend parked too close to her car. Started calling my friend a bitch(she’s 63) and I’m guessing this young thing to be in her late 20’s with fake boobs! Talk about respect?! Anyway, my friend apologizes profusely(her car wan’t damaged in the least). Then she starts yelling at all of us about how there’s a whole big parking lot across the steet(well we’re not from there so we didn’t know). Anyway, you couldn’t pay me to go in that shithole if it were the last bar on earth! How rude. The best part is that my friend would have been the only person to give her a big fat tip that night so the joke’s on her! If I owned that place she would be gone tomorrow if not sooner!

Worst bar ever. Ordered two drinks paid w 100 $ and after ten min asked for my change. She said she kept it, when i asked y she called security. The bartender backed her up that he heard that too even though he wasn’t around when we ordered n paid. Even if we had said that we have a right to not tip 94 on 6.00. To get stole from then kicked out was rude. BBB will be made aware. Don’t go worst bar ever

I visited Cuz a few months ago with a friend. We were looking to try something new in the area and heard that this was a good bar with good bar food. When we arrived we were greeted and were able to grab a seat at the bar. We ordered drinks and asked for the food menu. I was hungry and needed something quick! I ordered the chicken fingers with fries(perfect bar food). The order came out quick and the bartender was nice enough to get me an extra side of honey mustard. The establishment itself is very old and run down. I know it is a dive bar so I can’t really complain. There was also a ton of stagnate smoke(not sure if it is a smoking bar or not) which made me uncomfortable, but again, I knew it was a dive bar so whatever. I am not sure if I’ll go back anytime soon, but I am glad that I tried a new place and I hope they stick around.

We had a great time last night. Diverse crowd, fun dancing, good pours on liquor drinks. My only complaint is that the«dj» was horrible. If there are 3 people on the dancefloor all night, let them request all the music they want and play it! If no one is on the dance floor, switch out the song. The owner, Delmar, is hilarious :)

My experience at Cuz’ in the past have been memorably bad. Read my previous«condor» review. So after being ignored at Social House across the street we were apprehensive to give Cuz’ another try. But my experience this time was awesome. First of all the bartender was normal. Previous encounters we’ve always deal with some ex-stripper or worn out biker chick. Theresa was working this past time. She doesn’t drink, looks professional, and is very nice. I was pleasantly suprised. Drinks were fine, and they were served in glasses this time. We played a game of Golden Tee and chuckled how different our experience was this time than last. In fact, I pulled up my previous Unilocal review and showed it to Theresa. She said she knew who was working during my last visit, then apologized, and then continued to be her jovial self. Cuz’ may be alright after all… it all depends on who’s working.

Stopped by a new dive bar in Soulard. Typical dive bar, but in an old Chinese restaurant(and smells like it). Karaōke with good sound and non smoking. The atmosphere is just like it sounds … The night became more interesting as the evening went on. Let’s just say, I have a pretty good idea of which side of the river that some of the lady guests work. Ah yeah, an eye full and then some, And the owners just let the girls unravel, literally. I’m going to give these guys an extra star for the sound system/karaōke. Very high quality sound and they have large flat panels everywhere. The place has good bones. But, while the entertainment was ah interesting… I probably won’t be back. Just«Cuz.»
