We provide shades utilizing space age technology that eliminate the glare, but they keep the view. Halcyon Shades not only look good but they pay for themselves in three years or less. They keep the hot air out of your house in the summer, and in the winter they keep the hot air from escaping out the glass. Halcyon Shades use Radiant Barrier technology to keep windows from being a source of energy loss. A unique characteristic is the ability to see the view outside the window when the shade is down but from the outside you can’t see in. We sell many of our shades to school districts around the country for this reason. They will provide the same level of security for home use. Our shades are manufactured to fit your windows, and the shade has a five year warranty on all components. Motorization is an option. Hospitals love our shades because you clean them with alcohol, and a soft rag. Restaurants are a huge customer with our shades the only one approved for use in Subway Restaurants

History

Established in 2008.

This company is a spin off of Solutia. Five years ago Solutia decided to sell off some of it’s smaller business units to raise capitol. This division was purchased by a group of St Louis Investors. They moved the factory from Puebla, Mexico to St Louis, Missouri. The company has continued to grow in the last five years employing Americans to make quality shades here in America. Halcyon Shades was selected as the Business of the Year by mayor Francis Slay of St Louis in 2009. Halcyon Shades was presented with the Show me Heroes Award in 2012 by Governor Jay Nixon for hiring our returning veterans. My name is Richard Goellner and I’m President of Halcyon Shades. I’ve been in this position since the beginning of August. I’ve been owner, and President of a variety of companies, but this is the first company I’ve managed that has a truly unique product. I’m very customer focused, and I believe customers have the only vote that counts. I’m a Marine Corp veteran, and I try to employ as many veterans as I can.
