It’s no secret that I value good beer, good food, and good service. Throw a big patio into the mix and you’ve made a repeat customer out of me. This is Harry’s. I spent some of my final hours in St. Louis here, but the group and I were eventually chased off the premises by a bold band of mosquitoes.

One of my favorite spots to drink and meet up with friends, Harry’s is a prime definition of what a neighborhood bar should be. Since the bar has such an expansive patio outside and dining area inside it is easy for the place to accommodate groups of 10 or more. The main draws for this place is the Wednesday night special on ½ lb burgers and Karaōke on Friday and Saturday nights. Liquor and Beer prices aren’t too bad and the menu is pretty inexpensive as well. The inside sports 5 large TVs for viewing purposes and all in HD(3 at the bar, 2 in the dining room). The staff is very accomodating in changing a TV to whatever sporting event you would like to watch as well. Like I stated before this is a neighborhood bar through and through and one of the best in Saint Louis.

This is a great place to go hang out for a few drinks and the best karaōke you can find. MK is the karaōke master! They also have a great outdoor patio that’s nice in the spring and summer.

A well worn/weathered and welcoming bar and wood deck patio with plastic tables and chairs gave the ambience(pic). This is a Shaw neighborhood bar with Karaōke most nights, so I was told. This visit the Wednesday after 5PM hamburger, made to order like medium or well done, special was the main draw(about $ 4.50 ½ pound very juicy(fried?) burger and steak fries– ¼ pound w/fries for about $ 3.75). The beers were $ 3.25 for Bud 12 oz. Once the burgers are served, it is off to the toppings bar for the ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and/or pickles. The lettuce was actual leaf lettuce which I liked, but just be warned that they do not cut it up so one leaf after folding up covered my burger in layers.(I liked it, but I know not for everyone) They gave me two packets of A-1 when I asked. This was lots of food for the money. I will be back on a Wednesday again.

I got dragged back by a friend who was in a karoke contest. We stopped in for dinner first and since it was a friday in lent, being the good Catholic boy that I am I ordered the fish option off the menu. It was called cod sea dogs, which were basically fried cod in the shape of a large hotdog. There were two of these along with fries, and they were very tasty. The service here is pretty good and the crowd was a bit better this time, and the PBR option for beer was way cheaper than budweiser. I had a bit better time out there the second go around.

I miss this place! I used to live in the Shaw neighborhood and my boyfriend and I would visit this place once every two weeks for some drinks and wings. Their wings are the best we found in the STL area! It is a great low profile bar. You can always find a seat and it is low key to just hang out and drink some beers. They have karaōke and comedy nights. But the highlight is the SUPER cheap photo hunt machine. When we go back to visit, this is a place we have to go back to! Miss it very much.

Harry’s Pub & Grill is the perfect place to hang out on a summer weeknight. Every night of the week during the summer, Harry’s features a different special. I recommend going on burger night. They cook your burger to order(perfectly) cover it with the cheese of your choice and then send you off toward the«burger bar» to complete it with the toppings of your choosing. I’m kind of a burger aficionado, and I like to control what goes on my bun. The other food at Harry’s is good, typical, American style bar food: Pizza, fried appetizers, salads, etc. But a burger, and cold beer, and a night out of the patio, perhaps enjoying some live music or listening to a Cardinal’s game will always be a great night at Harry’s.

Harry’s is one of my favorite watering holes. I love this place not for the food, which is mediocre, but for the fond memories. Harry’s is a great place to go in the summer after a softball game. There is a rather large patio out back to sit on with an outdoor bar that is occasionally staffed. Harry’s also has Karaōke. If you are a fan of the karaōke, I would call first to see which day it is offered as it has changed a few times. MK the emcee is always happy to oblige with a song if the bar isn’t willing to participate. So let’s recap this bar is great for a drink post softball or kickball, not so great for the food.
