I’ve tried about 6 different nail places in this area, & this is definitely my favorite! The best part is always the super friendly staff. I’ve never felt uncomfortable or felt like they were talking about their customers. They talk to you like they’ve known you for years and are always smiling and just look like they’re happy to be there. Today I had Anna, and she was as sweet as could be. She shaped my nails exactly how I wanted, & I’m always super picky about the length of my nails, but she had no problem cutting them down little by little until I was satisfied. If your nails smudge or if they miss a spot while painting (which can happen to even the best manicurist) all you have to do is tell them and they fix it with no hesitation. Love love love my nails!

Fast & efficient nail techs! Decently personable but hey, they’re here to work. As long as my polish is on point I’m a happy camper. An occasional smile, nod of the head and a plea at «thank you» on the way out are however mandatory for my 5-​star status. JC Nail has passed the test.
Pedi chairs line both the north & south ends of the shop (approximately 20 chairs), the nail stations are plentiful as well; positioned in the center aisle and well equipped with necessary drills, powders, heated hand gloves, lamps, lotion & oils. They have a great OPI selection of polishes (my preferred brand) so they’re WINNING! in the color category.
Free Wifi, flat screen TV’s, waxing, filtered water & restrooms all provided for your pampering pleasure.
My gel mani was perfected. I’m a fan.

I’ve been looking for a new nail salon, to call home! I think I’ve found that in J.C. Nails! I was desperately overdue for a fill in, and my feet could use some TLC too. So I decided on coming here for a *fill in & *pedicure. First they let me pick my polish. I was very impressed in there polish selection, they offered all the higher end professional polishes such as; O.P.I., Zoya, China Glaze, & Polish’N. There was also a small gel polish section. I decided on this awesome blue color from China Glaze. I sat in the pedicure chair, while I was presented with a book of about 20 different specialized pedicures that priced from $ 25-​$ 45. I picked the classic pedicure, at the starting price. I can’t remember the lady’s name who performed the pedicure. But she did a awesome job, she really took her time nipping all the dead skin from around my toe nails. She massaged my feet for a decent amount of time. I wanted a flower design on my big toe, so I told her to do something cute. She painted a cherry blossom tree, her lines were very clean. I was pleased with the design. After my pedicure was done, another lady named Ana, started my fill in. I had long stiletto nails, I wanted to go to short square shape & she refiled them perfectly, and painted them beautifully!! My total was $ 48 ! I’m so happy with my nails and I will be returning there from now on.

Worst experience I have had. Cut my nails so short using cuticle clippers. Sore after cutting. Facility not clean. Didn’t have magazines to read. Won’t go back. Not the cheapest place for what you get.

I went to my usual nail salon, but the wait was too long, so I tried this place for French gel manicure. The employees are very nice, and it is relatively clean. They use freshly autoclaved tools, so that is a plus. They used an unbranded gel, and I expressed my concern. She said she would guarantee it would last at least 10 days– sounded great to me, so I continued. My nails looked great. I almost fell out of my chair when I got my bill– $ 38 without a tip. This is about $ 10-​$ 15 more than I have ever paid at a «quick» salon. Unfortunately, my $ 38 manicure last a whole 5 days before the white tips started peeling. I decided to return, and again, they were very pleasant and repaired the 7 nails that peeled… and that last 2 additional days. I generally get 13 – 15 days from gel manicures, so this is unacceptable, ESPECIALLY because of the price. Although they are super nice, I cannot recommend going there because they use inferior products. Lesson learned…

In less than 24 hours my nails have already peeled off. I had the basic manicure and pedicure. Pedicure seems ok but frustrated with my mani.

I have gotten my nails done at other places in St. Louis but came here for convenience. I came early on a Saturday morning to get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The gel manicure took a reasonable amount of time but after, the pedicure was terrible.
I was put into a massage chair and soaked my feet in ice cold water. I sat for about 40 minutes waiting for someone to do my nails and it was so cold I had to ask for hot water. It wasn’t busy in the salon at all, so I was pretty turned off by having to wait over an hour total for someone to come do my pedicure. They kept reassuring me that someone would be with me in 5 minutes but they kept playing that game every 5 minutes. If you have a life and don’t want to waste your entire Saturday, then don’t come here. I won’t be coming back.

I’ve been a regular here for 13 years. The owner Tom has put a lot of work into the place in that time — doubling the size, adding new services, increasing technicians to 14 and installing the best chairs. Everyone is friendly and eager to please. It’s very clean. I’m careful not to go when high traffic is to be expected like mid-​day on Saturday before everyone goes out. If I need to go during a potentially busy time, I just make an appointment in advance. Nice they have Sunday hours now too! I never go anywhere else!

Set up an appointment for a leg wax. They thought I would be okay with sitting out by the sinks in a chair! Ugh! Also mani/​pedis are over-​priced. There are MANY other wonderful places in this city.

Had girls night last night and we decided to get our toes done first. We all have been here before, the difference about this time was I got a cute flower on my toe. Never had one before and I know this will sound silly, but I love it! These girls are quite the artists, I had to take a picture of it because I was so impressed. Also, the girl doing my pedicure was very nice and good, I wish I had gotten her name.

Love LOVE this place! Great prices, great service. Anna is absolutely the best!!! Nobody does nails like her. Perfect shape every time.

As a nurse, it realllly hard to find a good place that doeant water down their polish and to have a manicure stay on fir more than one day. Their shellac mani/​pedis stayed for three weeks! It was awesome. The service was friendly and relaxing to be there. Definitely going back! They’re prices are reasonable and they stay on for weeks!

This is a below average nail salon. I’ve gone here twice, and each time I left with smudged and poorly shaped nails. The first time, the tech squared my nails off (which I don’t like — I like a more natural rounded shape, but once she did one, I was stuck), did a sloppy paint job, and even after sitting under the driers, my nails smudged. $ 12 wasted. The second time (hoping for a better experience) the results were equally bad. The tech trimmed my nails very short, and while the paint job was better and I sat under the driers for two cycles, my nails still smudged.
At the end of the day, I go to a nail salon for a decent manicure and pedicure, and any perks, though nice, don’t make up for lousy nails. The massages are good, but if I wanted a massage I’d go to a masseuse, who, frankly, would do a much better job. I won’t be back.

I have tried this place at least 3 times and had 1 decent experience and the other times were not good. There are so many other nail places around, no need to return to JC Nail for slow service, prices that are higher than competition, shellac/​gel manicure that started chipping after 3 days, etc. I won’t go back.

This is place that I have needed to review again for awhile now. I am happy to report my bad experiences were definitely isolated. As I said in my first review.
I am a regular customer now. The staff is friendly and the two men I spoke about in my first review, I do not see any more.
The owner (I think his name is Tom) is friendly, funny, and always stays on top of nail trends.
This place is speedy and cheap. I am so glad I gave it another chance. If you have had a bad experience in the past, you should give it a second chance too.

The salon is always clean and plenty of staff to offer services. Tom recently updated the salon and they have nice everything. I have a few of my favorites regarding the staff but all of them are very sweet. They offer great services as well. I’ve been a loyal customer for 3 years bc they always treat me well. i really like this place! Some employees do a much better job then others.
Tom should work on raising the bar with some of his workers, especially when you can purchase a very expensive treatment! An excellent massage is essential! And i expect one!

Very wide FUN selection on pedicures to choose from !!! Everyone was friendly. My manicurist spent about 20 min. JUST massaging my legs and feet… It was AMAZING. I was so much in a relaxed state of mind I almost missed a doctors appointment and sadly had to have her rush to finish the rest of my pedicure:-(What I love MOST is that all the tools they use on you are sterilized and come in pre packaged sets:-D I’m a germaphobe… Will be my new spot for pedicures!

My friends and I came here to get our feet pretty for sandal weather. They had been here before and I had not. I felt I deserved a treat so I opted for the Deluxe pedicure which is quite pricey ($ 35) for a pedi.
The environment was warm and friendly, as were the employees. They were all super sweet to me. They had a pretty decent selection of polishes, including OPI, China Glaze, and my personal favorite, Zoya. You can tell that they keep up with the current trends, as they had the polishes from OPI’s Katy Perry collection, which was released fairly recently. They also had crackle polish which is pretty awesome.
So when I walked out with a less-​than-​impressive pedicure, I was saddened. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t great, and for 35 $, I want my feet to look like they belong to a princess who never has to stand ! The «massage» she gave my feet was like super shoddy and lacking any skill whatsoever, she cut my nails kinda crooked, and missed a couple of spots with the nail polish. That’s not a 35 $ pedi, that’s me doing my own nails at home for the cost of a bottle of polish and some clippers. I get pedicures very rarely, so when I do, I want sparkle and shine. This was not sparkle and shine.
However, even with the lackluster pedicure, I will definitely go back. It was the most comfortable nail salon experience I’ve ever had. It’s hard to explain in a review but I just really like the environment. It’s more spacious, everyone seemed really happy to be there (both customers and employees) and while it certainly wasn’t a spa experience or anything it’s somewhere I“d love to try again. I’ll give their manicurists a shot next time and see if they can redeem themselves.
