History

Established in 1992.

My dad was a traveling salesman who drove over 50,000 miles a year. When I learned to drive he gave me two pieces of advice: «change your oil regularly» and «find a good mechanic and always take your car to him. Make sure he gets to know your car, so he can check it over every time you bring it in.» I started Master Auto Repair with the intention to be that mechanic.

A True Story:

Laura drives from her home in Wentzville to work in Columbia, Illinois every morning and from there to school at UMSL four evenings a week. She doesn’t have time to tie her car up in a shop, so she uses one of our free loaner cars whenever we service hers. On her last routine visit she mentioned a noise she was hearing every once in a while. We found that her belt tensioner was beginning to fail and the belt was getting loose. We prevented her from having a breakdown on the highway by replacing the belt and the tensioner while the car was in the shop.

Owning a business is a great career for me. It’s challenging; there’s always something new happening. Being in a service business gives me the opportunity to help people by solving their car problems.

There’s no doubt in my mind that I have the best managers and technicians in the St. Louis and Collinsville area, and possibly anywhere. These guys do such a great job, it makes my job much easier. They’re fun to work with, they take care of our customers very well.
