I may have gone here on an off day. I know it’s summer and I’m glad to see the kids out of school and working but I think the oldest person working there the day I went was maybe 18. I’m not saying that younger people can’t run a business, I’m just making the observation. Taking my order seemed difficult for some reason and then making my sandwich took quite some time(I was the only person in there who ordered food, it was basically empty). My smoothie sat in the kitchen for awhile because after someone finished making it they left it there because they didn’t know it was mine. Sigh. I was in no hurry so it was fine. My smoothie was very good. The sandwich was terrible.

I love this place! Coffee is hand made, fresh for each customer. Smooth and delicious. Food is GREAT. The turkey club is the best I’ve ever had. And, I’ve always had good service. Locally owned.

The new place is so great! Same great food and coffee, but awesome redesigned interior. My favorite coffee spot!

Just wonderful! The veggie omelette was filling and tasty. The French Toast was to die for — like need it and I’m gonna be so fat but it’s so good I don’t even care — to die for. Coffee was bananas! So good. So glad I live just around the corner.

Upon first waking in I was greeted by a friendly staff in a warm and cozy coffeeshop-esque atmosphere. My friend and I both ordered different types of coffee priced around $ 4. Based on the names(Honey Vanilla was mine) we were a little excited about some delicious coffee(long days + coffee = adult heaven). I was very disappointed on the quality of the coffee. For a $ 4 regular sized coffee, I expected a lot more. It just tasted like a normal cup of coffee that I could have made at home. After my friend and I were both disappointed, we choose not to try the food. Probably won’t be back. Despite the clever name, it was just a run-of-the-mill coffee shop.

Warm and cozy. Really good coffee. Friendly service. Not stuck up or pretentious. I Really enjoyed it..

One of my favorite low-key joints in all of Saint Louis. I have been coming here to meet friends, work on papers, and read in peace for over a decade. The food is fine, but the café drinks are why you stick around. Each cup of coffee is prepared individually so, in essence, every cup is an Americano. Also present are a large tea selection, a rotation of local art, and open space with lots of seating. I’m bummed that their hours were(somewhat) recently shortened. Here’s hoping that changes with the coming of better weather.

Every-time I am here, it is never very long. I don’t know why I haven’t done a day’s worth of work here. So they have food, but it’s basically anything you can make at home on your own. But — I love that you can get coffee, thai coffee, and wine all in on place. 1) Coffee is okay 2) Wifi and extra seating in the Back Loft 3) Outdoor seating 4) Real Food and some outlets 5) Wifi is a little spotty 6) I don’t get cell reception in the Loft and I have At & T. I need to be on the Wifi/Imessage 7) Live music after 7pm on some nights

Came here because of all the amazing reviews on Unilocal… but it turns out as just generic. The environment is fine though.

Had the curried chicken and the measugah salad today. Delicious! The location is clean and bright. The renovation under the new owner gives it a clean feel with the same vibe. Will definitely be back!

I guess they have to work out the kinks from being closed for renovations. We ordered two omelettes and both were overcooked with parts being burnt. The coffee was fine. Things seemed a little frazzled in the kitchen area.

When I came in here it was quiet, so quiet it was almost eerie. Almost every table full and silence. I almost didn’t order the smoothie I wanted because I was afraid of the blender’s noise. But I did, and it was absolutely delicious, and I sat down and at some point I realized there was music playing. Small café with a decent number of seats. There was space for me there midday on a Monday. Wifi worked pretty well and I sat for a while and got some work done — others in there were working as well. Didn’t try the food or coffee but it smelled good and looked good.

Great place to come here and have a coffee with your friend to have a good conversation. This is better and more original than Starbucks which is also on the Delmar Loop. This place is very cozy and warm during winters. I’ve had berry smoothies from this place a few times and they were always fantastic. I also ordered hot chocolate from this place during winter and it was yummy.

I’ve only tasted others’ food here, but it was really good. I’ve had a beverage-the cappuccino. REALLY good cuppa! Their food looks good. I wish my cappuccino had come with a spoon. 4 stars because there are almost no outlets here, making it difficult to stick around and work on a computer.

My favorite place to ~actually get coffee~ in St. Louis. Refills are free and it’s really, really good. I haven’t had luck with the wifi so I don’t come here to work, but it’s a good place to read — the music hasn’t been too overwhelming in my experience.

not the friendliest customer service but fine enough. i waited while the only employee fixed a bagel with his bare hands, struggling to spread the cold cream cheese on the bagel. waited for about 3 minutes. then he wiped his hands on his dirty pants and put the bagel in a box to give to a customer. eek. sometimes I’m down with the grime though so i still ordered falafel. it was fine, nothing great. i had to add salt and hot sauce for more flavor. small place, upstairs loft area is cool. definitely an outlet shortage if you want to come here to study. coffee was not great either. basically: «meh. i’ve experienced better»

Went here for lunch today on a whim and was really pleasantly surprised. The café looks homey and simple — and it is, in a good way! There’s a great casual atmosphere here and the staff is both courteous, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We both had iced tea, served in jars, and the pulled pork and cheddar sandwich on a toasted hoagie. It came with a mixed greens salad with red onion and dressing-marinated tomatoes. Cute, healthy, and tasty! No dressing-smothered iceberg here. The sandwich itself though was one of the best if not the best I have ever had. I expected generic and dry bbq pulled pork. What I got was incredibly juicy marinated pork on an amazing bun with just enough cheese to melt into the juices and add to the flavor. The meat took center stage and it was WOW. We made a lucky random choice today!

Came here to work. First off the wireless sucked, so I couldn’t get shit done. The staff isn’t all that friendly as far as being welcoming but they were nice enough. I think it is way overpriced for what this is. If I’m going to pay these prices, I might as well go to Starbucks. However, if you are looking for a quiet, no frills, coffee shop where you don’t need to do any real work in, then this may be the place for you if you are already near the Delmar Loop. I’d never drive here again on purpose. As a side note, I drove here from Kayak because my VPN at Kayak coffee(which I love) kept dying on me. So still to date, the best coffee house and wireless Internet still goes to Mokabe’s in Tower Grove.

My favorite coffee shop in St Louis. Great for hanging out and reading. With every to-stay coffee you get a free refill. I love that there is so much space to sit, so you don’t feel rushed to slam down your coffee and leave– having a place where you can really sit all day and drink cup after cup is perfect. Here’s the mystery: their coffee is amazing. I’ve gone to the fancy coffee places elsewhere in STL that put tons of effort into their coffee, and that stuff is good. But the simple americano-style cup of coffee at Meshuggah might be my favorite coffee anywhere. I no longer live in St Louis, and I miss it.

I love the regular coffee here because it’s strong. They also have good bagels and they don’t skimp on the cream cheese or any other topping you might choose. Not super cheap, but not outrageous. It’s a nice treat.

Meshuggah’s is the perfect place to go to study or to get some work done outside the office over a fresh cup of Joe. Food and drinks are always made-to-order and always hit the spot. Plus, there’s free wifi; just ask for the password when you order.

Pretty okay, I have nothing against Meshuggah. On my most recent visit, I had a tropical smoothie($ 4.95) that was pretty tasty, although on the watery side. My boyfriend seems to like this place a lot.

I was strolling around at the loop and was really craving for a hot drink and decided to stop by this place and try it out. When I first walked in, it was really warm(which was great cause it was freezing outside!) and felt cozy. It was relatively quiet and everyone there was just studying. If I lived around the area, this would definitely be my study spot. In the upstairs area, there’s additional seating, but it looks a little tacky and sketchy so I would prefer the downstairs area. Since I’ve never been here, I asked the barista what he recommended. He was really friendly and helpful and suggested the café au lait, so I decided to get that but with hazelnut in it. It was delicious! You can definitely taste the difference between that drink and a Starbucks. It’s very smooth and very rich in flavor. Overall, service and drink was good and I would come back to this place if I ever come back to STL to visit! :)

Modest, cozy, no frills, local… that’s Meshuggah Café. I first visited this coffee shop with one of my coffee-addicted friends. Meshuggah is her #1 coffee shop in STL… so I had high expectations. And I’m fairly impressed. This is what I love about Meshuggah: * It’s not over the top with coffee-themed crap. It just is what it is. And they don’t try to be in-your-face hipster. They exist because they made good coffee and that’s all they care about. * The service is awesome. The staff is super friendly, sociable, and welcoming. They instantly put you in a good mood. * The coffee is pretty good! Not the best I’ve had… but it’s better than Starbucks and most other coffee shops. * I haven’t tried their food/lunches, but their desserts are superb! I especially love getting their cookies and dipping them in my hot coffee drinks. * They have wifi! * Great place to get work done. I particularly a fan of the Loft/Upstairs area in the back. I’ve never seen it overly crowded or noisy, so it’s nice to find an atmosphere with minimal distractions/interruptions. Meshuggah is now my go-to coffee shop in The Loop. Whenever I’m in the area and need some caffeine, this is my place!

Not super awesome or terrible. A no frills coffee shop with good internet and good tables for doing work. An excellent selection of brewed teas. I can’t speak to the food, but they had a nice range of breakfast and lunch options if you get hungry while working or want to stop by for a breakfast or lunch date with a friend.

This coffee, is expensive but great! Very nice staff, nice open area coffee shop with lots of outlets both upstairs and down! The food looked awesome, did not have any but was presented well! They do have outdoor seating and my friend who get tea, loved his tea! I’m a coffee guy so I got that, it was pricey 3.60 for a large with soy but it was so worth it! Best coffee I have had in awhile! Clean rest rooms as well! I love it! If you are down on the loop give this place a shot!

I stopped by on a weekend afternoon to get a cup of coffee in between studying. I really want to love this place — it’s location is great(with lots of people watching opportunities), they have a nice study area, and it’s never too crowded. It seems like the perfect place, but it just falls a little short. I ended up getting a cappuccino and was a little underwhelmed. The coffee wasn’t bad, but there was just a lot of areas for improvement. It was a little more bitter than I expected, almost as if the beans were either roasted a while ago or the coffee wasn’t ground fairly recently. I hope this place gets better, because I do want to come back. I guess what makes this place just okay for me is the trouble of getting here(including finding a parking).

Took a stroll down the loop and decided to get coffee here. The place is cute, a little on the old side as far as maintaining it but this is what give it character. There were a lot of people here drinking coffee, chatting, reading pretty much what you always see at coffee shops. I enjoyed my iced coffee. The menu is reasonably priced and they have small plates and smoothies also. I met the owner and he was the cutest little man EVER! I wanted to put him in my pocket! There is also a sticker inside on one of the walls that says«Friends don’t let friends live in Chesterfield» I really want that sticker but unfortunately they don’t sell it. Anyways this place is nice change from going to Starbucks all the time.
