New to STL. Like the freshness of the milk. The pie ice creams in a cone were a wonderful treat, would definitely try all of the flavors again. The milkshakes were just ok. If you mix that much milk in the milkshake, you lose all of the original flavors.

Oberweis is the real deal… there’s really not much to rant about. Whether you buy a pint from your local grocer or walk into an Oberweis location; the quality of ice cream they offer is phenomenal. The flavors are delish and beware the seasonal changes. There’s is a reward card which you can purchase for $ 1 if you’re a regular. I Personally didn’t like the $ 1 charge so I declined. I don’t need to be rewarded for gluttony anyway. Enjoy.

Has to be the best ice cream in St Louis. Hands down. I always used to go before I moved up to Wisconsin and I do miss going. I love their ice cream(their malts are fantastic!) and their milk is exceptional. My dad always buys their milk so it’s nice to have some at home. I recommend this place.

An Oberweis… with a DRIVETHRU??! Where have you been all my life? I love Oberweis. Their ice cream is simply the best. Their other products are really good too. Pricey, yes… but worth it. And local. They sell all sorts of things. Their ice cream pies are a main stay for my family for birthdays. There are several flavors, all fresh and even cut into individual servings so no messy cutting. On our recent trip, we were in SoCo and stopped by to get a pie for my sister’s birthday. We knew what we wanted, so we went through the drive-thru. Got the pie and were on our way. Their cookie dough ice cream is to die for. Best ever! I would have gained a million pounds if I had kept it in the house during my pregnancy. Luckily the pie I got was cookie dough so I got a fix!

I happen to love ice cream, and while I am not supposed to have it(or not a lot of it these days!) I still do like this place when I am in the neighborhood! The location is clean, and the workers are always helpful to recomend something new when I come in.

Can’t say I ever really desire to go here. It’s typical ice cream and bit over priced. I much rather visit the smaller stands in the area.

When it comes to good ice cream, Oberweis is definitely at the top of my list. They carry several traditional flavors, along with some seasonal ones that change every few months. You can find shakes, malts, specialty sundaes, and more on the menu. There are also plenty of dairy items available for purchase such as cheese, milk, yogurt, and of course, packaged ice cream. My husband and I stopped in recently when our sweet tooth got the best of us. My absolute favorite is the chocolate peanut butter ice cream, and that’s what I got. Holy yum! My husband’s eyes were bigger than his stomach and he ordered a large chocolate malt. It was bigger than his head and it got the best of him. Maybe he’ll win next time…

I consider myself an ice-cream junkie and Oberweis is the prime spot to get my fix :-) The product is delicious and addictive! I almost always share a chocolate milkshake with my fiancé when I go(maybe it’s the retro interior and feel of a simpler time?) though any dessert is guaranteed to please. They also sell ice-cream to go, milk, orange juice, and a few other ‘grocery’ items. Their milk is what I would definitely recommend to try. They charge you for the bottle, but you can return to get the $ back. They even do a really neat delivery service of groceries though I personally never used it. Every time we go, the cream and service is top notch. It’s one of our favorite stops and I always look forward to going. Oberweis is a must-stop stop for any fellow ice-cream junkies as well as any St. Louis natives. They are family owned and St. Louis based!

We always buy our milk here. We like that they have high quality milk and feel that it is important that their farmers treat the cows with respect. Every once in awhile we will get their ice cream and enjoy it, but I would rather make my own ice cream using their whole cream. You can often find samples while picking up milk and it is handy to have a drive through to grab and run.

My wife and I have eaten here on multiple occasions, and we both agree this is our favorite place to get ice cream. I love their chocolate chip ice cream, and their chocolate malts are the best. Is it a little pricey? Sure. Then again, it’s really no different than Baskin Robbins, Ted Drewes, Cold Stone, etc. This is one of those places where you get what you pay for. They always seem to have workers coming around to the various tables offering free samples, which is a nice touch. The one negative about this place is the rewards programs, which needs to be redone entirely. You have to spend an exorbitant amount of money just to get a few bucks off.

i used to take my nephew here alot when he was younger. i went to SoCo for gas and supper. after a bit of grocery shopping, i decided to stop and get a scoop to go. i pull in the drive thru and sit and sit and sit. I was thinking that the person 2 cars ahead of me was taking too long to order. I was wrong the kid working drive thru was the only one working drive thru and would take an order and get an order. I saw cinnamon ice cream on the board. Being a big fan of cinnamon, I thought awesome. i was told they no longer served that flavor. I told the kid at the window that they needed to take the flavor down if they no longer offered it. I was told that the menu outside was permanent and that they could not change it. i thought REALLY??? I MEANREALLY??? Did this kid really think i was going to take that as an excuse. I don’t think i will return.

While I find the ice cream here to be good I don’t think it is worth the amount they charge. If I am in the area and have a craving for a cone I will stop and get a chocolate cone. Their vanilla I am not a big fan of because it tastes very plain, I like more of a vanilla taste myself. The cookie dough they use in their concretes is very good.

Although this place is quite delicious, I can’t in good conscience give it a full 5 stars for the prices they charge. But they come oh so close. This is probably the best milk I have ever had. It comes in an old school glass bottle, so it just tastes fresher, and the chocolate milk is so yummy and thick you might as well be drinking a shake. It’s seriously that good. Better yet, they get all their milk from non-hormone infused cows, so you know you are getting the best quality milk you can get. It’s the cream of the organic crop if you will, but as I said, it’s not cheap. You can get the milk delivered to your house as well. Imagine having the milkman come to your door every week just like an episode of The Andy Griffith Show. What a hoot. Their Ice Cream is amazing as well. It’s just as thick and creamy as their milk and you can get an array of toppings to make it even more gut bustingly delicious. I don’t come here often because quite frankly, neither my checking account nor my wasteline can handle it… but it’s nice to treat yourself once in a while.
