Ram Leather & Fur Care

This review is in reference to alterations of garments. I have no experience with stain removal or damage repair.
I took an old Café Racer Style Leather jacket into Ram to see if it could be altered. I bought this jacket right after my first bike, so along with its retro looks it has sentimental value to me. I wanted to wear it again but my style and fit has changed in the last 10 years so I decided to see if it could be altered. After an online search I came up with a few options and decided to try Ram first.
The people I talked to at Ram were all smiling and very friendly. The Seamstress asked me to try on the jacket, but was quick to tell me that the alteration couldn’t be done. Even after I tried on the jacket and showed her that I just needed the sides taken in, she stressed to me that the alteration would not hold up. So I left, disappointed, thinking I was going to have to part with my jacket and try to find a new one.
I decided to get a second opinion. I took my jacket to Indira’s Alteration and Design Studio and I’m very excited to say I’m wearing the jacket today, its been altered, and it looks like it was tailored for ME. It looks GREAT, the seam is SOLID, and the price was well worth it for the leather alteration. As with any trade, there are varying levels of skill, and maybe certain leather alterations require a greater skill set. RAM has a great reputation and has been in business for some time, so I’m sure they offer good services. This review is to let you know that you should get a second opinion if you are told a repair/​alteration can’t be done. Trust me I’m very glad I did.

They saved my purse! The dye from my jeans rubbed off to the side of my brand new tan leather purse. I tried to clean it myself but the leather became more worn and discolored.
Desperate to saved my ruined purse, I found this place on Google. I took my purse in and they said the purse could be restored with a cleaning and a dye job. It would only take a week. The color of the purse was really an unique shade of tan and I was really worry that the color couldn’t be restored. I decided to take a chance since my purse looked awful.
Well, I just picked up my purse and it looks just like it was brand new. The leather was dyed perfectly to the exact shade. It was also very reasonably priced. I’m a fan of Ram and highly recommend this place for all leather and handbag care needs. They also do wedding gown preservation, but I don’t have any experience with this service to comment on it.
