Reid Vann Luxury Import Service

I have dealt with Reid Vann for over 30 years with my Audi, BMW, MB and Porsche vehicles, going all the way back to Kurt and beyond. They have always been truthful, professional and accurate in both estimates and timing. In my opinion, they are vastly superior to any of the dealer shops I have encountered (other than Autohaus, which is great). There may be other good independent shops of which I am not aware, but I highly recommend Reid and his staff.

If I didn’t need to leave to star in order for me to comment I won’t. They do restore nice, luxury cars, and you’d think their manager will be classy too, nope, his name is Scott, and his attitude towards both me and my brother in law is shitty. We also bought a Porsche from them, and they took out all of the usable parts before delivered, which was not how we first negotiated. We will never do business again with them, and I’d suggest never going to them as well.

Horrible experience at Turd Vann. They damaged my wheel and tire. I specifically asked them does this machine damage the wheel. Scott at the front desk said no all lies. This guy was decietful and unscrupulous from the jump. He tried to insult my intelligence about my tires and wheels, like i don’t know my car. Then their young tech spencer does not know what the hell he is doing. Please do not take your car there horrible service and customer satisfaction.

Took my Audi in for a mount /​balance. Dropped it off early in the morning and 2 hours later they call and say it will be more than twice money as much as they originally said. They had all of the information when I dropped off the car, so I was unsure of why it all of a sudden got more than 2x as expensive, but I was eager to get my vibration issues fixed so I said okay. Then I call them at the end of the day. They didn’t call me of course… I had to call and «inquire» about why a mount /​balance had taken 8 hours so far.
Their equipment was down so they need to keep my car overnight. The only saving grace is that they provided me a loaner. Shop called me the next morning and said I had a bent wheel. When I went in to check it out, I asked about getting a printout of what the road force measurements were (which I asked for and was assured they could give me when I dropped off the car). The sheet the tire guy showed me is not what I asked for, and when I pointed this out to the person working the tire machine, he started getting an attitude with me and told me «after this is done you leave and don’t ever come back!».
I also noticed they had severely damaged all of the spokes on *three* of my wheels. There is a 5×112 adapter for their Road Force machine that they have but that they DID NOT use, and when I asked why they didn’t the guy just said «it doesn’t make a difference». Yes it does! If you had used the same 5×112 adapter that Plaza Audi used to road-​force balance the same wheels a week prior, there wouldn’t have been ANY damage. They blamed it on my reconditioned wheels, saying the paint was «soft» (even though I had the same balance done (on the same reconditioned wheels) at Plaza Audi a week before with ZERO damage).
I was able to get out of there without having to pay a dime, but I still feel like NOT paying anything was paying TOO much considering the damage they did to my wheels and the attitude they gave me along the way. What is it with shops that have the Road Force Balancing machine not knowing how to use it? I’ve never been treated like this in ANY other shop. Never in my life have I been told to «leave and never come back» over a $ 300 job when I’ve known the people at the shop for a whole 24 hours. What a frustrating, disappointing, and lackluster experience. I won’t touch Reid Vann with a 10 foot pole from now on.

I’m typing this from their waiting area. Had a 9am appt for an oil change. It’s 9:45 and I’m still looking at my car in the Parking lot. Untouched. I drove an hour to get here in my day off. They are saying another 10 mins. But they also said be here at 9. He apologized and said they are still working on cars from yesterday and don’t have the rack space. I’m the only customer in the waiting room actually waiting on my car. I used to love this place. Horrible customer service now. Ran out of creamer … So no offer to get some. If you want a shop that doesn’t really give a damn about your time. This is your place !!!

Wanted to repair an over-​heating issue and was told it was the fuel filter. They changed that and did some other minor repairs. Picked up the car and it feel apart! Had to take it to the nearest mechanics who said it was a thermostat that needed to be Changed. With oil change, coolant, and a new thermostat it runs great. I had my car at Reid vann for over a week while they came up with this idea and that idea but never fixed the problem. I paid them for the work they did but not for anything related to the overheating. The service was horrible– didn’t know the costs, never returned calls, yelled and screamed and threatened me with arrest because I didn’t pay the whole bill. They actually had a police officer call me to say I needed to pay the bill! These people are bullies. They caused me more headache and money when they could have listened to what I said and fixed what the problem was. I am sorry to say that this place has lost it’s way. Maybe the owner Reid is tired of working but he thinks he knows everything and he doesn’t.
If you use them please don’t just take their word for it; ask questions, be strong willed and tell them to listen to what you know is happening with the car.
I feel sorry for them and the employees that are brainwashed by this real JERK!
