Ambiance not the greatest, but Kim did a great job with my highlights! I would return.

I visited Salon 7 many times to get my hair cut by Chelsea who is seriously the best colorist I’ve ever had touch my hair… BUT SHE HAS LEFT SALON 7 and opened up her own Salon which she now owns.
If you are looking to get Chelsea to do your hair… travel a few minutes down the road to Grace Taylor Salon in Maplewood. You will not be disappointed.
Kim– who is still at Salon 7 gives the most amazing pedicures… so I still go for that service… She also offers waxing, massages, facials, etc. and although I have never had them… it looks like it would be nice! (if you don’t mind being behind a hospital curtain).
This salon is not super fancy… but again… the PEDICURE is amazing and super private… but don’t forget… if you’re looking for CHELSEA check out GRACE TAYLOR SALON IN MAPLEWOOD!!!

I just moved to the Central West End, and checked out Unilocal for a good salon. Kim cut my hair and she did a fantastic job. The weather here is much more humid than what I was accustomed to, and I asked Kim for a cut that would give me more volume. She gave me the best cut I’ve ever had! Bringing my daughter in next week.

Background– I’ve been a salon jumper all my life, and while pushing a certain age… I figured it was time for this lady to settle down and find somebody.

I went in with what I was considering a hair intervention and was willing to cut my über long hair to whatever it needed to be to become healthy again. Chelsey was so great and gave my hair the conditioning it needed, and assured me I did not need a buzz cut. She gave great suggestions for shampoo and conditioner after I asked for them (no pushy sales here, kids!) and gave me the best cut I’ve had in ages! I’ve had so many compliments since my cut– there’s no chance I’ll go back to my salon jumping days again!
It was just a really great experience all around. I’ll be back– and so should you… unless you want my appointment time, then we’ll have words!

I will follow Chelsey wherever she goes, she’s seriously that good. I bring in pictures or give her an idea, and she brings it. When you say I only want a few inches off, she really listens. Thank goodness for this woman, I look professional and polished. I’ve never gotten so many compliments on my looks as I have after every cut by Chelsey.
TIP: get your hair washed, her scalp massage is therapeutic (seriously).
Very sweet person and beautiful inside and out. I think everyone will leave happier, relaxed, and feel like a million bucks!

I had my hair done by Chelsea a few days ago. I am thrilled with my haircut. When I went in I had NO idea what I wanted, just that I wanted it to look good drying naturally. I am a 29 year old male. She gave me a great cut in little amount of time. The quality of the cut was far more superiour than the cost of the cut — only $ 25! Highly recommend going.

I got my hair cut drastically and went with Chelsea Baker after seeing her recommendations on here. She did a wonderful job! I love love love my new hair and was so happy I went with her. She listened carefully to what I wanted and was very patient with me. She colored my hair from dark brown to blonde with ease and cut about a foot off of hair and styled it perfectly. I highly recommend her. The only weird thing was the salon itself. It seemed dated and had a piano in the middle that one girl kept playing which was odd. But everything else was amazing.

Chelsey is the only person I go to now; cut, color & style. She is young, honest and has a great sense of humor. So glad she is in the Central West End!

I was referred into this place by several friends who have previously boasted about the services they received and I am excited to say «My friends were correct». Bryon is the person that took care of my cut. Shortly thereafter he took care of my wife’s gray streaks too. My wife says I look 10 years younger to the better handsome and I say she — looks, well — beautiful — as always. Thanks Salon 7 — two New fans!!!

Little Ms Chelsey Baker is the best hair stylist. If you live in the area you should definitely check her out. She has a real awesome and bubbly personality and very personable and hey as a guy she’s real easy on the eyes.
The weird thing is they have a full scale keyboard near where she was cutting my hair. I didn’t know if I should bust out a jam whilst getting my haircut but I digress.

Important part: Got a great cut here! Stylist was professional in demeanor, clearly experienced & moves well executed, & even gave a friggin’ spectacular scalp massage. Made the appointment last minute & she was graciously accommodating. Fair price.
Less important parts/​good to know: Not a super fancy place, a bit bare bones but clean & comfortable nonetheless. I didn’t get wax services, but could help but notice the wax table/​area is only partitioned with a curtain, not a wall/​room which I personally wouldn’t be ok getting a bikini/​brazilian wax behind or anything with the whole place hearing my resulting whimpering/​expletives… Aside from that mental image, I’d definitely be back for a mani/​pedi or other hair (on my head) services in a heartbeat!
Other details: street parking, 2 hair chairs, 2 pedi chairs, 2 wash stations, aforementioned wax table/​area. Takes credit cards. Used nice products of good variety: Biolage, Rusk, Redken. Clean & well maintained, but not fancy space.
