I love Salon L. Everyone is so nice there!
I love getting my hair cut and colored with Jill! I have been going to Jill for years and I always leave feeling so much better! Jill does an amazing job! The color and my hairstyle look great! I got sooooooooo many compliments this weekend!

Tabitha has done a great job on my hair — both cutting and foiling — for the past 3 years — I wish I’d found her sooner! The salon is always very clean and the girls always helpful and courteous. I’ve tried several hair colors and have always been pleased with the end result and the cuts are always fabulous — I get compliments all the time and people ask where I get my hair done — always a good sign!

I’ve been coming here since moving to StL over 8 yrs ago (it was previously Show Me Stylz). Tabitha has been my go-​to stylist from the beginning and she always does a great job! I will acknowledge that I don’t do anything crazy with my hair (no dramatic new styles or colors), but I love that I know I will consistently leave with exactly what I asked for. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable compared to other salons around town, so no complaints here!

This was my first time trying this salon.
I was booked with Jill; at first she seemed very soft spoken and unsure of herself so I was a bit worried. But once we got started her personality came out and I felt better. She asked the «getting to know you questions» while she worked on my hair and at no point did the conversation feel forced or awkward.
There was a slight communication error when discussing color and while I didn’t end up with ombré (a decision I was going back and forth on and thought Jill made the call to go ahead and do it) the color Jill chose did blend effortlessly with my existing color and old highlights. I could have asked more questions and I did tell Jill that I trusted her, so I’m not going to be pissed at her for making a decision. However, a wee bit more clarification would have been nice (i.e., «So I’m talking about foils, not ombré, is that okay?»
Also when she washed my hair I could tell she had smoked on her break while my color was processing. As a non-​smoker I find the smell really offensive — especially when someone is leaned over my face for an extended period of time. My total time in the salon was less than 2 hours, I really felt like Jill could have waited for her cigarette break until AFTER I had left…
The final result is definitely better than it was when I walked in and Jill did a great job with the cut — keeping all of the length and cutting the layers to be way less awkward. It will be easy to keep up while I’m busy working and in school and didn’t cost me an arm and a leg ($ 78 for foils and my haircut was free because I was a new client.) So I’m not going to blast the salon or Jill for a poor job, because quite frankly I’m satisfied. However, there were just a few things that I thought could use some improvement. Don’t be scared away from this salon, just be sure that you’re very clear in what you want!

I love Salon L! Great atmosphere, and great customer service. Myself being a hairstylist and slaon owner I think I can be a bit more critical that your averge joe. And I have to say I have never been disappointed. Jill usually does my hair. And she always has fun ideas to keep me styaing trendy. All of the stylist have had there hands on my head and each one of them do a great job.

Damage to chemical relaxers… Please stop trying to talk your way out of being an absolutely miserable salon. My hair has not one piece of relaxer in it. I grew my hair out for almost two years and all relaxed ends were cut off. My hair is naturally curly! So no damage. My hair had split ends yes.
You flat ironed my curly hair without properly straightening it. There were knots in my hair due to your flight ironing it. I did not leave the your salon because I did not want my hair cut, I left the salon shortly after going to the restroom and noticing that you were not properly flat ironing my hair and were damaging it. The parts that you called flat ironing had knots in it from you doing a half ass job. When I sat back in the chair after seeing what you did, I ask for you to straight’n my hair with my your fingers before flight ironing. You stated «yeah but I do not have time.»
The simple fact that another busy salon in the area took me in as a walk in when they saw what you did says it all. The stylists gathering around apologized to me and looked in horror. Thankfully they were able to salvage a lot of what you did by re-​wetting my hair, letting the curls back in and undoing the knots that you created. It was 5 hour job and I am so grateful for them. There were pieces however that could not be salvaged (knots) in the middle of my hair. Thankfully I left your chair when I did (you only touched the back of my hair which at the time was a few inches longer than the front) or you would have ruined the front of my hair too.
