Was in St. Louis last weekend and stopped by for lunch. As delicious as I remember.

These are the best gyros we have been able to find in south city. They are always very quick with service and it is easy to call in your order. My only complaint is they aren’t open late enough some nights :) My favorite is the chicken gyro but have enjoyed the greek isle salad as well.

Hands down the best gyro joint around. The gyros are wonderful and the baklava puts the finishing touches on a great meal. This is a must try for take out or sit in.

ordered the supreme gyro. My kids ordered the classic. There was plenty of food on them as far as portion is concerned. Taste, I would rate as average. As a qualifier I would add that I would choose a sandwich from The Hill, anytime over this type of food. My youngest didn’t finish her classic, normally she eats everything. If you go here, do not plan on dining in. There are about 4 small tables for dining in. In addition, on this occasion the tables were not clean. And, there was plenty of help that could have wiped the tables clean, yet no one did. I will not be going back.

I’ve been stopping in a couple of times a month to pick up a Gyro supreme for the past year. Their Gyro’s are the best that I’ve eaten in town. Their food really is top notch. My only complaint is that the level of service has been worse my last few visits. What used to be a 5 to 10 minute wait to pick up your food has been closer to 15 or 20 minutes lately. I see they are advertising for additional help. I truly do hope these longer waits are a temporary issue and they back to their former level of service soon.

Best Gyros in St Louis, hands down. I go here at least once a week. The staff talks to each other in Greek so you know it’s authentic. I recommend the Supreme gyro with everything.

I’ve visited a couple of times. Food is okay, not world-changing. Falafel was so-so, and the rest of my family likes the gyros well enough. The service is unimpressive.(Atmosphere is non-existent). My baby left her shoe on the high chair in the back room just before close, which we didn’t notice in leaving, and we called back within minutes and got no answer. Called shortly after open the next business day and the person answering the phone claimed not to be able to locate it, but obviously made no effort to check(i.e., didn’t leave the phone or call back). Was told to call back in the afternoon where someone else also obviously made no effort to check. It seems reasonable to me to hold off on throwing away other people’s property for at least one shift, or at least making the effort to pretend to look when someone calls, but that’s apparently not the philosophy here. As someone who likes to support smaller, non-chain restaurants, it always disappoints me when they can’t deliver on basic things like customer service.

The inside is nothing fancy, if I was going factor the inside I would probably take off a star. However I’m rating this based only on the food and the price. For about $ 8 I received one of the most delicious gyros I’ve ever had along with a generous portion of fries. The fries were pretty good, but I’ll be honest and say I’ll probably skip them next time and just get the gyro by itself because it’s too much food for myself. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Visited for the first time on Sat. 2÷28÷16 with my husband. We’ve been driving by this place for years, talking about stopping by and glad we finally did! When we entered we were greeted warmly by the staff. We each ordered a Gyro Supreme — absolutely delicious! The gyro meat was great, the pita fresh, all the toppings and Tzatziki sauce were fresh and delicious. After our meal we each had a piece of baklava to top off our meal and it too was very good! We are so happy we finally tried this place out! We’ll definitely be going back.

Hadn’t been since like 2007, went back today and it was just as good as I remembered. Great gyros, great prices.

Yesterday after I left Schnucks I noticed the gyro company was open and I was hungry so I popped in. I was the only customer(it was early) and there was one women cleaning the windows and another behind the counter. Neither acknowledged me or greeted me and I actually thought maybe they were not open yet and felt like I was an intruder. I stood at the counter for a few seconds and was getting ready to leave when the women behind the counter asked if she could help me. I ordered the basic gyro and the spinach pie. The food was outstanding but the customer service and welcoming atmosphere was horrible. I felt completely unwelcome as if I were putting them out somehow for being there. If the reviews were for the food alone it would be a 4 but this experience was a 2.5 to 3.

Huge and delicious gyros and very reasonably priced! The desserts are also quite good with the baklava being a personal favorite! If you like greek style sandwiches, you cannot go wrong here.

Their food is amazing! I always get the classic gyro because it never disappoints. The meat is fresh and doesn’t taste stale or dry. They make it in front of you so you know what they’re doing. The place might be small and misleading but the food is sooo good.

For all the hype over this place, I was not impressed at all. First of all, the people working when I stopped in for an early dinner takeout order were pretty lackluster on customer service /general friendliness. This was particularly disappointing since it was my first time, and friends and other reviews have touted how friendly this place is. Second, once I was half-way through eating the doner kebob I ordered, I found a black hair on it(I don’t have black hair). Pretty off-putting. Finally, the food(doner kebob, chicken pita pizza, and chicken supreme sandwich) was not anything special or worth the $ 20, even disregarding the hair issue. I didn’t detect anything that makes this place superior to other gyro places, Soulard Gyro & Deli for instance or a random fast casual, nothing special falafel place I happened upon recently for a quick workday lunch in Chicago. Which makes me wonder why this place has so much hype?

I love this place! One of the few places in StL than makes me feel like I am back in Europe! Their Doner Kebabs are amazing… and authentic! I don’t know what it is about meat cooked in a spit, but it make me happy!

Stopped in for lunch during a work training. I have only had a couple gyros in my life and I’ve always enjoyed them, so I figured they were close by and the crave hit hard! I walked in and was greeted immediately. I ordered a supreme gyro and a drink. It was $ 8 so not too bad. The gyro meat was sliced right in front of me and placed on the fresh baked pita. The building process took maybe 3 minutes and I had my glorious masterpiece. I dug in and whoa. Immediately was having a flow of emotions run through me, all good ones. The meat was delicious, the veggies were fresh, the sauce was excellent and the pita was incredible. No complaints! Great price, great service, amazing food!

This place is amazing. Delicious gyros on fantastic homemade bread for only $ 7. It’s definitely worth the drive I have to make to get one. Highly recommend.

Stopped here for lunch while traveling cross-country and got the gyro supreme. Even as I am writing this review, I am salivating over the thought of their food. This place is a super small hole in the wall that is best if you are grabbing take-out. I phoned in my order and was told it would be ready in 10 – 15 minutes. The food: Even as I am writing this review, I am salivating over the thought of their amazing gyro. The pita bread was soft but with good chew, the meat was succulent and tender, the feta or greek cheese was well balanced and not overpowering, and accompanying vegetables in it provided a great balance. I also got the tiramisu; all I can say is that it was one of the best I have had in a long time. The ladyfingers had great chew and tenderness, the coffee sauce component provided good depth and the cream topping was perfectly not too sweet. All around A+ lunch that was wicked cheap. I wish I lived in St. Louis so that I could eat their food every day!

You can’t choose a wrong dish here. I usually order a veggie gyro with hummus instead of tzaziki and love it. The veggies are crisp and fresh tasting and the hummus is slightly spicy. Their regular gyros are also quite tasty and you can see them cut the meet off right in front of you. Service is fast and friendly.

After a long day of moving the bf and I decided to grab something to eat and the Gyro Company was on my mind! We arrived around 1 on a Thursday afternoon and the place was actually pretty busy. There were a few people eating at tables and a few more in line to order. When it was my turn to order I knew what I wanted and ordered the chicken gyro with a side of fries. I think my bf ordered the traditional gyro or something like that. We made it to the beginning of the line to pay for our food and grabbed a few cups for drinks as well. While we were waiting for our food the place kept getting busier-I guess everyone had the same idea to eat lunch here. Not a bad choice at all. When our food was ready it was brought over to our table and looked delicious. I was so hungry and couldn’t wait to dig in. Not gonna lie… I had no idea how to eat this gyro; it was huge! I actually used a fork and a knife for a little bit to help make it smaller before trying to use my hands. The chicken meat was so tender and juicy and oh so flavorful; I am so glad to be eating since I think I was famished. the fries were hot, fresh and tasty too. I am so glad I now live close to The Gyro Company since I can see a lot more gyros to be eaten in my life. Next time I will try some of the dessert; I forgot to order it the other day which means I’ll just have to go back soon!
