I loved this place! They have a ton of outdoor seating, great prices and a menu full of stuff I wanted to try!

Great little café in Clayton… Perfect spot as it is near many of the Clayton offices, but never tends to be too crazy busy when I visit. Salads are good, sandwiches– while not super creative are always good, and Fridays are my favorite with their hot dog specials! Mel and the rest of the staff are always great to chat with and are very helpful throughout the dining process! Definitely recommend!

I’ve been here many times. Service is ALWAYS fast & friendly. Billy & the staff know everyone of their customers by name. Haven’t had a bad menu item yet. Hot dog Friday is by far my favorite.

I have to come back here because the sandwiches they offer are right up my alley, so many good things to choose from. It’s a tiny place with more seating outside than in, and I have to try the fireplace when it gets a little warmer because that looks like a great place to grab a coffee and read a book.

Went to the Patio Café this morning on my way to work. It’s located on Bonhomme in Clayton and I was surprised to find plenty of street parking available right in front of it, considering it’s a work day and Clayton is a bustling business district. The place stays true to its name and there is a very nice patio removed from the street level with comfy-looking chairs and an outdoor fireplace. I’ll have to come back just to sit outside and enjoy something hot. I ordered the café mocha which wasn’t too too pricey and wasn’t too sweet and syrupy. It was delicious until the end when I reached the gritty chocolate at the bottom that didn’t get mixed enough to dissolve unfortunately. Great other than that though. I also ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese barrista wrap on a white flour tortilla. This was a bit of a let-down. The eggs seemed to have been baked like at a hotel continental breakfast in a large pan. They were flavorless and basically a filler. The bacon was good, and the cheese was simple slices of deli cheddar, and that’s not a bad thing, but overall, I could’ve made this myself at home for way less money. I’ll probably come back to get another espresso drink and sit on the patio if I’m feeling a chill morning out and about, and I might try some of their other menu items(sandwiches, salads, etc.) but I’m not impressed so far.

I work in the building a few floors above The Patio Café. I was extremely happy to have such a good café be so close. We all get busy and deadlines creep up and none of that bothers me so much anymore because I know I can always go downstairs and Billy and the crew will take great care of me with something delicious to eat. My favorites are the Bahn Mi Gah and the Roast Beef panini. Do yourself a favor and try The Patio Café.

I was traveling through St. Louis and staying at the Sheraton across the street from Patio café. I went into this little café for a quick and close lunch before heading to work, and I was so delighted with my sandwich! I had the Veggie sandwich and everything was very tasty and fresh. The bread was very soft, the vegetables were super fresh, and the herb spread they put on the bread was delicious. There is a lot of outside seating, and a few tables inside. You order at the counter and they call your name to get your food. There is no table service, which is fine for lunch! This restaurant is perfect is you want a quick lunch or breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly, and they seemed to know most of their customers by name, which was so nice! They must have a lot of frequent customers, and I can definitely see why. If I worked close by, I would go here all of the time!

Nice little lunch spot. Somewhat tucked away; I had no idea it was there. Very fresh food and open atmosphere. Great sandwiches and salads.

The café sits on the corner of the Equity building with easy access from the street so you don’t have to go through the building to get to it like other cafes. The interior is cute and very clean and well kept. There are about 7 tables that seat 2 people and a flat screen tv on the wall. Its small but there is comfortable room to sit inside and eat. They have a patio outside and I can’t wait to take advantage of that when the weather permits. They offer a wide variety of Espresso and coffee drinks. A good selection of breakfast meals and for lunch they have soups, cold sandwiches, hot sandwich’s, wraps and soups. The people that work this café are very friendly and the service is fast! There are days when its busy and you will have to wait a bit for your meal and on other days its empty and your food comes out immediately. This café is in between a restaurant and a cafeteria. Better than a cafeteria for sure but not quite restaurant status. But that’s okay because for a quick lunch that tastes good I am okay with this.

This is was my third visit to this place. My other review is on google+. I took a co-worker here and we ended up ordering the same thing in different formats. She got the Special in a wrap while I did the Rye(toasted). I also got a bowl of Soup. The staff is friendly and the place is spotless. Don’t expect fancy décor since they are on the bottom corner of a large office building. Our food took no time after being freshly prepared. The sandwiches were great. The soup was a tad thin for me but still had great flavors.

Delicious breakfast that is both filling and at least seems light and healthy. The southwest wrap is amazing(a compliment I rarely give to vegetarian food!). And when you ask for a giant coffee, they do not mess around!

We stopped here before a meeting across the street. I had a chicken salad sandwich and it was the best I have had in a long time. The service is super friendly and pretty quick considering the rush and how small it is. There is ample outdoor seating with a fireplace and umbrellas to control the climate. Next time I am in Clayton around lunch I would be quite happy to stop here again.

Okay. I tend to frequent this café in the mornings and many times mid-day since it’s in my building and can be hard to get away for lunch. So, I certainly appreciate the convenience. With that being said, I do love it and think it is a great new addition to the Clayton scene. Here are my favorites for lunch: The Banh Mi Ga sandwich, «The Double Down» pastrami sandwich with thousand island and sauerkraut, and the Maple salad with home-made maple vinaigrette(good on a day you are craving something sweet!). They also always have a delicious soup of the day which I sometimes find easier to grab and go if it’s busy and crowded. They also have soup and salad combos which can be ideal. If you have a chance to visit the café in the morning, they have a Northwest Coffee espresso bar. So, try skipping the *bucks and head over here! The Vanilla Latte is perfect. If you are hungry they have bagels, muffins, AND serve barista eggs which are steamed eggs prepared using the espresso steamer. The eggs are amazing for«one-of-those» mornings particularly in a wrap with cheese, bacon or sausage. Oh, and they’ll put salsa on it! Final thought: I can’t wait until Spring when the warmer air is upon us and we can sit outside on «the patio» at The Patio Café. The bonus about the outdoor patio? A fireplace… and I hear Wi-Fi is coming soon!
