Description

Specialties

The Q-Shack serves St. Louis style BBQ at its best. Everything from Rib tips and pulled pork to smoked beef and chicken. We also have a Tex-Mex menu with burritos and tacos using our smoked meats.

History

Established in 2014.

Larry Lampert began his BBQ establishment back in 1993 with Fatman’s BBQ in Creve Couer, MO. He was joined by daughter Angie Lampert in 2005 when they opened Plush Pig BBQ in Clayton, MO. After a 5 year stay in Clayton the building was found to be contaminated with asbestos and Lamperts felt it was in the customers’ best interest to relocate. They moved into Rock Hill, MO at the corner of Manchester and McKnight until the building was torn down to make room for a CVS. Last August when The Q-Shack’s former occupant, BJ’s Gulicious BBQ vacated, they snapped up the opportunity to take over at Manchester and McCausland just at the edge of Maplewood in St. Louis City.

Meet the Business Owner

Angie L.

Business Owner

Angie was born and raised in St. Louis and attended Mizzou getting a degree and business and economics. After working for a local bar and grill for 3 years she went on to the food sales side with Morey’s Seafood and US Foodservice. Being raised in her father Larry’s restaurants it wasn’t a hard stretch for them to join forces to open their first BBQ together in 2005. Now as Larry is looking to retire, Angie is taking full reign of The Q-Shack.
