Where do I start? 1) My daughter broke her arm at their Spring Break camp. It was an accident entirely on her part, but they never called me(I arrived 15 minutes after she fell); they seemed really unconcerned with how much pain she was in & how hard she was crying; no one called me the following day/week to see how she was doing; and they were downright rude when I called after the fact to get their insurance info for my health insurance company. 2) I sent them a check for a registration fee, but instead of cashing it, they billed my credit card on file, which links to a different account. 3) They made several changes to the Y-Club program that make sense on paper, but are not at all accommodating for parents who work flexible shifts. 4) When you call the main line, it takes at least 10 rings for someone to pick up. 5) They made several changes to the dance program that they didn’t notify patents about until the program had already started. If I’d known about these changes ahead of time, I would have changed programs. Luckily, my daughter got her teacher of the previous two years, so she was happy. They also have high turnover of the dance staff — the longest teacher has been there 5 years, and most less than that. 6) Their summer camps are disorganized. 7) The pool chlorine levels are erratic — usually they are okay, but my daughter has come home with bleached out suits(worn less than 5 times & washed after every use) and bloodshot eyes that took decent doses of eye drops and Benedryl to clear up. Some other STL and Metro East Y’s may be good, but this isn’t one of them.

They have a decent work out area and have made some improvements to their entryway, but the whole building is still dated. My sons both take swim lessons here and enjoy it. There is little room for playing basketball since most of the courts are taken up with aerobics. They do have 2 racquetball courts which is a plus.

This facility recently got a face lift. The entrance is now way brighter and more comfortable. It seems to have a bit of something for everyone, full Blown gymnastics for young girls, big pools, Rock Climbing, Family room with tv’s pool table, and tons of games. Great new Work out out equipment. The rest of the building is somewhat dated, and might remind you of a school, but the staff keep in clean and are very friendly. It is much more of a family center, than a «gym» per se. I am a bit more of a gym rat guy, and this place was comfortable for me, with pretty much everything I needed. Definately worth Checking out. Oh yeah, they have free coffee too!!!
