History
Established in 1996.
CodeWeavers was established as a general software consulting house in 1996. In 1999, CodeWeavers’ founder and CEO, Jeremy White, re-oriented the business around Wine (www.winehq.org). Since 2002, CodeWeavers has sold its award-winning CrossOver products, which allow users to run Windows applications on their Linux PCs, without needing a Windows license. The company introduced it’s CrossOver Mac product in 2007. CodeWeavers has approximately 25 employees, located worldwide. The company is privately held.
