We are a physical therapy clinic and we provide aquatic therapy.

Some of our other medical services include consultations with our medical doctor, functional capacity evaluations (FCE), occupational therapy, pain management, Electromyography (EMG), medical manual therapy, joint injection, nerve conduction studies, back pain, shoulder pain, foot and ankle injuries, back pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Degenerative Disc Disease, Fibromyalgia, Postural Restoration, and much more.

We are expanding our wellness offerings to help our patients reach their health goals. Group fitness classes are now being offered such as Pilates, Tai Chi, and pool therapy.

Other services include a weight loss program, custom-​made foot orthotics, the sale of medical grade shoes, massage therapy, custom created health supplements, custom medical bicycle fitting, and our IMPACT Preventative and Lifestyle Analysis.

History

Established in 1995.

Impact opened in 1995 under its previous name of PDR midway. The clinic was a smaller clinic focusing solely on neck and back rehabilitation by strengthening through the use of MEDX equipment. Approximately five years later and a small expansion we divorced ourselves from the group of clinics operating under the name of PDR. We expanded both the scope of our services and the vision of our clinic. We became a more full-​service physical medicine and rehabilitation health care facility. We expanded again by designing and creating the most sophisticated rehabilitation pool in the Twin Cities metro area. Our name was changed to Impact Physical Medicine and Aquatic Center to more appropriately describe our facilities and what we do.

Because of our ongoing successes with complex patients we have once again remodeled and expanded our facility to become the finest and most innovative physical medicine facility in the state of Minnesota. Our new clinic opened in 2015.

Business Owner

Stan B. is a medical clinic visionary. He started the IMPACT clinic with the intention of giving patients better care and helping them to actually recover from their pain. Many clinics do not actually treat pain, but at IMPACT that is our mission. No need to drive all over town for your physical therapy needs IMPACT has all the needed facilities right in one location.

The Prism aquatic center is a cutting edge design created with the Postural Restoration institute. Stan B. had the pool built to give our patients better outcomes than can be achieved with only using standard physical therapy.

As part of Stan’s ongoing mission to provide patients with world-​class care the clinic has been expanding offerings to help patients meet their wellness goals. IMPACT now offers fitness classes, a weight loss program, massage therapy, and the IMPACT Preventative and Lifestyle Analysis. That analysis discovers each patient’s current heart disease and diabetic risk at a genetic level.
