My 17 year old cat passed away on November 24^th and I was a little frazzled (to say the least) when trying to figure out what to do with my beloved Oreo. I decided cremation was the best option. When I was doing a search for pet cremation on Google, there were a lot of options, but the only place that seemed to fit my needs was Pets Remembered. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, kind, helpful, and compassionate. My questions were answered and I brought in Oreo a few days after she passed away. I love that animals are treated with the same respect as humans, and that each pet is cremated individually so you only receive your pet’s ashes. I was able to pick up Oreo’s urn the next day, and I also received her paw prints and clippings of her fur. The urn is lovely, I might add — hand-​carved wood. Even though losing a pet is incredibly difficult, Pets Remembered help with the grieving process so much and treat animals with such respect and care. I will definitely use their services the next time I lose a pet — which won’t be for a while, hopefully! I can’t recommend them enough.

Pets Remembered provides a kind and gentle closure to the difficult experience of saying goodbye to a beloved pet. Skip, Carol, and Melanie were all helpful and supportive. We appreciated their connection to an animal rescue group and donated many of our dog’s belongings which felt good knowing they may help other dogs. I highly recommend their personalized touch.

It is so difficult to write a great review for such a sad occasion, but the staff here went out of their way to help us find peace. Skip was kind and helpful on the phone and picked our beloved Fozzy up from the University of Minnesota on Labor Day. Skip notified us that they would be (individually) cremating Fozzy first thing the following day. I requested an extra paw print in case the University had not done one, and also said I may be getting a tattoo of his footprint, so Skip made up some cards with Fozzy’s footprint in ink in case.
Carol called the next morning to say that Fozzy was ready to be picked up late morning – such a fast process to help us heal – I have heard of other places taking weeks to do an individual cremation.
When my husband and I went to Pets Remembered to pick him up, we had brought our 2^nd dog with us. Carol was friendly, compassionate, professional, and presented us with the beautiful wood engraved box holding our dear pet. Carol gave us some information on grieving and how to help our other dog through the void that Fozzy was sure to leave. A truly emotional experience to say the least…
I would recommend them to anyone going through pet cremation. Their compassion for their work was remarkable in our eyes.

Last week we said good-​bye to our beloved Chester at Pets Remembered. We could not have asked for more compassion and caring during this devastating process. Skip and Carol really helped us through everything and did so amazingly well. It was all very peaceful and private. If anyone has to go through having to let their beloved pet go, I would highly recommended pets remembered. You will not regret it.

In February we said a sad and peaceful farewell to our beloved dog Riley. Skip and Carol at Pets Remembered helped us through this difficult time with much tenderness and compassion. We chose to say our goodbyes at the Pets Remembered location and Skip quickly arranged for a veterinarian to come there. The setting was exceptionally peaceful and comfortable. Pets Remembered handles the cremation process with extraordinary compassion and care. When we had to say goodbye to one of our dogs, they went above and beyond expectations, providing unexpected extra touches. Their personal service reflects their understanding of how horrible it is to lose a pet. I’m extremely grateful to the people at Pets Remembered for the manner in which they operate, helping people get through a heartbreaking experience.

This review isn’t going to be funny — so if you only read my reviews for my caustic wit, you can skip this one. I won’t be offended.
I had Charly for 14 years, 10 months and the day after Christmas she took ill and stopped eating. After emotionally draining, expensive vet tests the only conclusion they could come up with was acute kidney failure and they suggested putting in a feeding tube for the oh so low price of $ 2,000 for surgery + medication. We contemplated the cost vs. the quality of life she’d have after the surgery and since the vet couldn’t make any guarantees that the surgery would even help her live through the week — we opted to let her die at home with dignity, surrounded by all of her toys and kitty friends, with pain medication to help keep her comfortable. Not an easy decision.
Charly passed away at 7:10pm on New Year’s Eve, which was a pretty horrible way to ring in the New Year. I had called Pets Remembered prior to her passing to inquire about their services — they told me they’d answer my call for a pick up anytime and they let me know they’d even pick her up on New Year’s Day, which was pretty nice of them.
When you choose the cremation service they allow you to send things (nothing metal or plastic) with your pet to be cremated with them — we sent her favorite toys, a goodbye letter, and her favorite blankets with her. They also guarantee that your beloved pet will be cremated alone, so there’s no chance you’ll get another pet’s ashes — which is oddly comforting.
Skip came by on New Year’s morning at 10am and picked up Charly and the stuff we were sending with her. He arrived in a station wagon — not a van or regular car. Also a nice touch because it’s pretty morbid to think about your pet being locked in a trunk or in the back of a large van jostling around like loose change. There was minimal paperwork to fill out and Skip asked if we’d like clay paw prints (we did) and he told us we’d also receive information on how to write a memorial for Charly after her cremation was completed (which we did). He said we could pick her up the following day.
The next day we picked her up at 5:30pm — they had stayed open for us because they’re very accommodating people. We received Charly’s ashes in a beautiful wooden box, 2 clay paw prints, and 2 remembrance cards. Skip and his wife were lovely throughout the whole process. I would definitely use this service again.

They were so nice and handled everything so well with my cat of 17 years. Very, very recommended.

These folks are absolutely the most caring, wonderful couple you can imagine. They’ve helped me through the loss of two of my beloved companions. Lucy the cattle dog mix and Maggie the bulldog were treated gently and with compassion. And their comforting words to me made a difficult time bearable.

Skip and his wife were so genuine and compassionate during the passing of my best friend Shug. They made sure I understood everything that was going on and they explained to me everything I needed to know. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience during such a difficult time.
When we came to pick up Shug’s ashes, I was so happy to have two sweet pups meet me at the door. I hadn’t been around another dog since Shug passed and it was very therapeutic to sit and chat with Skip and his wife and get all the cuddles from the dogs. They called to check in on me about a week later, which was a very thoughtful gesture. We were willing to pay any cost to have Shug’s cremation done properly, but I know not everyone has that option. It was another showing of how wonderful they are because our bill was much less than we were expecting, especially with all the special and unique things they did for us.
I highly recommend Pets Remembered; They are respectful and caring people who will treat you and your pet with the respect you both deserve.

Our special friend, Maverick passed yesterday and doing a web search we brought him here. We called at 9:30 knowing that they closed at 10:00. The owner said that he would wait around for us to bring Maverick in. (We also had the option of him picking him up the following morning). He was so kind and compassionate and made the experience so much easier as we knew we were leaving Maverick in gentle hands. Highly recommend!

Skip was very accommodating at such short notice. He drove across town to collect our cat for cremation but we called to let him know we needed more time to hold her and say good bye. He booked an appointment with us later that day so it would just be us and he sat and talked with us to learn about our pet.
I would highly recommend their service.

When our cat died, a google search for pet cremation places in the Twin Cities area turned up more choices than I expected, and we were somewhat overwhelmed. After reading a lot of websites, we picked Pets Remembered, and I am SO thankful we did.
From the first phone call, the owner provided the perfect balance of supportiveness without being overbearing. The business is completely family run, so the person you first talk to is who you meet when you bring your pet, is who cremates your pet, is who meets you to return the ashes to you the next day. The owners understand the grieving process so well and know exactly what to say and even how to deal with children (they have a lovely little coloring book/​journal for kids that you get in your final packet). They have a nice selection of urns and tons more that can be ordered, and they’ll even do the little touches, like paw prints, unasked. The actual cremation is done on site, so your pet is never frozen or transported, they are not burned communally, and you can pick up the ashes in a day. Everything was so simultaneously heart-​felt and professional that it reminded me of the best (human) funeral homes. Their kindness and thoughtfulness really made the difference in our day.
As silly as it might sound, the entire process was extremely cathartic. If you are in the unfortunate situation of needing a pet cremation service, I cannot recommend Pets Remembered enough. Really. Stop looking, just call.
