History
Established in 2008.
The concept of the restaurant was formed from two business owners, and previous roommates, who had a passion food & craft beers and a vision of offering something unique and different for Downtown St. Paul. The owners have ties to the restaurant industry through growing up in the business and previously working as servers & managers later on in life. Both residents of St. Paul, they felt that the city was in need of something different and set forth to open their spin on a concept restaurant with a unique name that would draw attention. The restaurant was completed and the doors opened on February of 2008. Señor Wong features an executive chef who has a passion for the foods he prepares and cooks. He uses seasonal ingredients whenever possible and makes sure each dish is prepared properly and to the customers request. Owning and running this restaurant has been a passion for me. Its been a lot of work, but its been a labor of love. The concept of the restaurant has changed dramatically since we first opened, but the changes have been great thing in making the restaurant better for everyone. I really enjoy the beer dinners we put on every month. I think it really showcases the talent of the executive chef and the amazing things he does with the pairing.
