Practically Pikasso

PP is one of those places that you go to with a bunch of girls! You decide on a theme and get creative! OR you take some rowdy kids of yours and create a family masterpiece!‍How about a party? How fun!
I’ve been in an group of women and I’ve been with my boys. I’m very artistic and creative but my boys not so much. Luckily they don’t have to be! There are so many examples to be inspired by, there are books and people to help you out. If you are there at a time when it’s busy the help can be a little hard to get but with some patience you will. This is the type of place that you don’t go if you’re in a rush.
Time to create a masterpiece! Themes are the best for a big group. Somethings you all have in common, what brought you there? Maybe the love of a movie, flower, song, cause (cancer, diabetes, MS…) or maybe you each want to create your own. Anything goes it’s your creation. This place is great for Christmas gifts with all grandma’s grandchildren creating a platter, bowl, mug or each their own little gift.
If something goes wrong or you notice something mention it. The owner and workers are very nice and wiling to help fix the issue. There is no reason to walk out with something you didn’t want, they will help! Great staff! Helpful and friendly! The store is clean, bright, happy and on hot summer days… cool too!
Relax and enjoy time with family and or friends!

I always have a wonderful time when I am here painting. Staff is friendly and helpful. I have had birthday party, play dates, and girls nights at Practically Pikasso… There is always something fun to create!

This place is extremely overpriced for the quality of service. After finishing up a mug that I was painting, I asked a girl that works there to write «Virginia» on my mug using a paint pen after the mug had been fired in the kiln (this is a complimentary service that they offer). When I went to pick it up a week later, my mug had «Virgina» written across it. Seriously? Who doesn’t know how to spell Virginia? Also, I had a $ 2 off coupon and the same girl forgot to apply the discount. To say the least, I was not impressed.

This place is like You Do the Dishes on steroids. You have so many options to be creative, but the advantage is the clay wheeling (think the movie Ghost). The entrance is located above Outback. I went here with my partner for the clay wheeling class. A two people minimum is needed. I got lucky and was able to book an appointment over the phone the day before. Our instructor, Paula, was perfect with instructions and making it a fun session. The session lasts 2 hours and the amount of clay you get with the $ 100 package ($ 50 for each person) is more than enough for two people and lots of creative mashing/​wheeling.
Since this was a beginner class, we made some bowl like objects. It take some time for the pieces you make to go through the rest of the process after the class. I think turn around time is about a week or two, then you get to add your personal touch by painting your masterpiece.
Overall, wonderful option to have to take someone out on a date or to just do something new and exciting with a friend. Oh, also, if you’re on a time schedule and do the wheeling, plan to clean up after yourself (i.e., washing the wheels and tools). Takes about 30 min. Oh yeah, and bring a change of clothes because it gets messy. There is a clean bathroom to change in.
