Shaida’s Resale Cottage is a surprisingly good place to find fillers for your wardrobe, especially if you are on a tight budget. At first glance(due to its size and location), it appeared to be consignment or thrift; however, their merchandise seems to be all unused dead stock from low end mall brands: Liz Claiborne, Cache, Charlotte Russe, Banana Republic, Forever 21, the Limited, New York & Co, Inc, Simply Vera, Worthington, Chico’s, etc. The majority of pieces are casual wear for women: flirty tops, dresses, slacks, swimsuits, accessories, shorts, purses, and a few professional and maternity items. The stock seems to change on a regular basis so far. They have size small up to size 15X, so cost-conscious ladies of a variety of sizes can check it out. They also have a men’s section, although it isn’t quite as large. I found three really cute casual tops and a scarf for under $ 20 total here — and that’s without touching the $ 3 rack. You won’t find high fashion, and you do have to dig, but you might find this worth a stop if you are a cheapskate like me.
