Terry Gironda has been working in the restaurant industry ever since she was 13 years old when she began working as a bus person in a local restaurant. Over the many years she has worked as a server, manager, and then began assisting owners in setting up their restaurants and hiring staff and training them.

In 1987 she opened her first restaurant called CJ’s Italian. The name came from her son’s initials Craig Jonathan. Since then Terry has opened a creole restaurant called Mardi Gras. An American-style named Damon’s Ribs and several more CJ’s on and off the island.

Terry now owns the original store on Saint Simons Island, it’s called CJ’
