Addictions Body Piercing & Tattoo

I have now revived 2 tattoos by Chadwick here at addictions. He’s absolutely amazing and does great detailing. I’ll be going back to him for many more :)

Drove all the way from Beaverton (hour and a half drive) to get piercings. The lady (I think her name was Jen) did an amazing job and was a super friendly and genuine person!

Not please at all with the service provided. I was given false information that tampered with the healing of my piercings. The jewelry is also VERY overpriced. I would not recommend this shop to anyone and would encourage any other shop around.

I walked into addictions and there were two girls behind the counter. They were somewhat assisting a customer but mostly chatting between themselves. I stood at the counter, gave an uncomfortable smile and waited to, at least, get acknowleged. But nope, they just kept on. It was about 15 minutes later that, a guy who said he didn’t even work there, acknowledged me. Again, I was standing at the counter, looking at these girls, thinking they would notice, but they continued to talk with each other. When I finally receieved assistance, the girl was s rude and unacknowledging. Besides the ridiculously terrible service, their prices were profound. Never going there again. Too bad Emily doesn’t still own it, she was very helpful, accommodating and kind. Instead I went to Oregon Tattoo and was assisted immediately and graciously.

When i came here the first time, it was when the owner was there. Everything was awesome, and super helpful. However the second time i went back to get my ears stretched again, after the duration of what i was told by the owner the first time I was told by the front counter girl i had to wait 3 months to go from a 10g to a 8g. Um no…
I also asked about some other things as well, and she couldn’t answer any of my questions. She had to keep going in the back and asking the guy that was there. He was giving her info to them relay to me of which having piercings as long as i have and doing a lot of research about I knew i was being fed a line. It was rather apperant after talking with the red head counter girl that it was more. of the fact that the guy didn’t want to do what i was asking. I also found it unprofessional that the counter gal couldn’t answer any of my questions she had to referr to someone else. If you are the face amd answerer of questions you should know your stuff. I won’t be back. I suggest only going when the ownee is there and can pierce you. Beyond that forget it. I was trying some place new from High Priestis, however I’ll stick with HPP. I love the salem location

This place is awesome! I needed my ears re-​pierced so I walked in one evening. It’s clean and the people are friendly and knowledgeable. Jen pierced my ears. She explained the process first then expertly pierced my ears. She told me what she was doing every step of the way. I felt comfortable and relaxed, so I experienced almost no pain at all. Highly recommend!

I had two nose piercings done by Aaron, who was phenomenal in leading me through the process and ensuring everything went well. Bri at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful; she gave great advice regarding the healing process and even helped me pick out my jewelry! Everyone is very knowledgable and the place is on point in terms of cleanliness, I definitely would recommend this place to everyone I know

I have been to addictions for all of my piercings, i always speak very highly of them, I recommend them to everyone I know. I have never had an issue until the last time I went in to have my jewelry looked at. I had to have a procedure done which required me to take my hoop out. I came in to have the jewler close my ring up because I couldnt get the hoop to close completely, it was a hole just big enough for a finger nail to fit through, but enough of a hole that my ring was getting stuck in the hole of my nose. The lady at the counter wanted me to pay basically half the price of the pericing to have an adjustment. That is absurd. I told her, ive come in before for adjustments and it never cost me a thing. Her response kind of snotty «well, if that was between you or a piercer i dont know but this is our policy» I left. Im not paying that for what I needed. Now my nose hole closed up. I am looking for a new place to go from now on unfortunately.

Been to Addictions many times and they have always been the friendliest, helpful, and most professional body modification artists I have ever worked with. Went in today for a new gauge that had been slipping through, slowing the healing process and tearing up the inside of my ear, and the general manager, with the help of Bri and Jen, set me up with a brand new better pair of tunnels for free! I will definitely continue to go there and would recommend Addictions to anyone looking to get pierced or inked.

I will never come here again, I don’t even want to give it a star. I had some ink done here and after about 3 weeks I noticed that the numbers in my tattoo were wrong, I told the artist and he refused to fix it. I now have a memorial tattoo that is wrong and I am extremely upset about it.

Addictions is a great place! Aaron was an expert, and my piercing was swift and almost painless. I felt very calm and like I was in great hands the entire time. Alicia is a super adorable and knowledgable receptionist who set me up with some really cute and high quality jewelry! I’m in love with my piercing an will definitely come back for any future piercings or tattoos!

Aaron was WONDERFUL!!! My sister and I went in to get piercings on our ears. He was very precise and thorough! He even recommended a different piercing for my sister because of the jewelry she wanted that would look better on her. He was very clean, professional, answered all my questions, and did a great job on both piercings. I’ve gotten several piercings here in this place and I’m very happy with the customer service. Especially when I got my industrial summer of ’13 and then I fainted when I was about to pay! Lol *blush* but they were super accommodating and I was even given a popsicle to help me feel better. I haven’t gotten a tattoo from there just yet but I got more interested when I saw their deal of get 5 and the 6 tattoo is free (something along those words) I would recommend. They don’t make you feel intimidated, I had gone to High Priestess and I got bad vibes from there, which I do not have, when I go to Addictions :)

I got my anti-​eyebrow pierced here (first off, the guy who pierced it didn’t use clamps which I thought was weird) but I went with it, and trusted his abilities.
About 5 months later (during which I was fighting constant infection with it) I moved to San Antonio, Texas. I quickly noticed that it seemed to be rejecting (even though I had literally cleaned it twice a day every day since I’d gotten it). So I decided to go into a piercing shop here in San Antonio and have it looked at. The piercer told me not only was it pierced WRONG, and not deep enough but that the jewelry they had used for it was WRONG and hurting it more than helping it.(which is funny because the guy who pierced it at Addictions convinced me to buy a more pricey jewelry because he insisted it helped more with the «healing process») All I can say is what a joke. Now I’m stuck with no piercing, and a nice big scar where it used to be.

Josh has done the majority of my ink. Creative and and impeccable attention to detail and just a wonderful person to be around who has definitely perfected his craft. We will continue coming back! Shop is amazing. Clean, great atmosphere and superb staff. Fabulous artistry. You will definitely leave with fresh ink that is better than you even imagined it to be!

I had never had a piercing done professionally before, so I was extremely nervous when I scheduled my appointment and I ended up coming early because of it. I was extremely impressed with the counter girl, Alicia. She was very friendly to everyone and she definitely knew what she was talking about. They got me in right when my appointment was scheduled and Aaron was exceedingly patient. He talked me through the process, answered all of my questions, and the entire procedure was over in a few minutes.
I’ve had my monroe, smiley, bellybutton, and a couple piercings done before, but usually done by either me or one of my friends. I was basing my expectations off of that and I was totally blown away. I was getting my septum pierced for the first time, so I was expecting a decent amount of pain. It barely pinched! Aaron was a great piercer and I will definitely be back.

Staff could not have been more friendly and knowledgable. Very clean environment. My sister was nervous to get her nose pierced, but they took really good care of her.

They had what I was looking for, but the girl at the counter tried to upsale me from a $ 5 retainer for my nose to a $ 40 retainer… after I had already explained I threw my last one away. I would be very upset if I threw $ 40 away… I can live with $ 5…

Ive gotten a total of 15 piercings here, 12 of which were by Emily, 2 from an employee who no longer works here and 1 from a guy that works here now.
I have also gotten only two of my many tattoos here one of the guys has since passed away, the other no longer works here.
I would recommend if you want a piercing to go here and see Emily. She is very good at her job and explains everything to you, and answers any and all of the questions that you could have about your new piercing. Very very professional, and she makes you feel extremely comfortable.
The one piercing I did get from the guy, I believe his name was corona or something like that, well he is more the opposite. He acted inconvenienced to answer any questions, and had an attitude. I can’t say if this was from having a bad day or if this is typical him, however I do know being treated this way will keep me from going to him.
The other employee did an okay job, she was definitely friendly but a little inexperienced. I do not believe she works here still however since the two piercings I got from her was when Addictions was around the corner and about 6 – 7 years ago.
As for the tattoo artists, the individuals, like i said that I was tattooed by are no longer there, one of them was really quiet, he did answer questions that I had without any problems. The tattoo still looks really good today too, the colors are still bright and pop out and the quality of work is great. The second tattoo I got from here the guy was very friendly and talked almost the entire time, it still looks good after several years.
Now I went in within the last year to see about getting another tattoo, I asked for a very specific tattoo, and was very specific about what I did not want. So i left then came back and sure enough it was what I said I didn’t want that had been drawn.
The only excuse I got for why it wasn’t drawn the way I wanted it was «that isn’t my style» well it doesn’t really matter if it isn’t your style because it isn’t going on YOUR body, and there was plenty of opportunity between me asking if the individual could do it or if someone else would be able to, to say no I think you should talk to someone else. This right here makes it seem like it was more about money than what the customer wanted.
So this guy told me to talk to another guy that worked here about the style of tattoo I wanted because he would be more suited to do it. So I did and I was told that it would be difficult to draw the tattoo I wanted so that I wouldn’t be able to really see it until it was getting done on me? Seriously? am I really supposed to trust someone that much to just do a good job. I have several other tattoos and they have always been drawn and checked by me and asked if this is what i want before going on my body.
So I told this individual i need to see something because I can’t just accept that kind of an answer. When I came back to get the tattoo I was met with hostility and told that I couldn’t have the tattoo done that day because it would take too much time. Really? they weren’t even crowded and I got there at 11 am in the morning, most of the people in the shop were getting piercings. So I asked if they could do a smaller one for a friend that they wanted, something extremely easy text. On top of that, that I would come back later if there really wasn’t enough time ««, which it turns out after asking a few friends that stopped in for the day the shop was NOT busy that day at all.
The kid that sits at the front desk all of the time went back to start drawing it and said it would take only around 20 minutes and cost about 250 $. After about 35minutes of staring back and seeing them shooting the shit and joking around instead of working like they told us they were on drawing stuff up.
So I told my friend he should just call Captain Jacks Tattoo Studio and see how much they would do it for. They (Captain Jacks) said they would do the same tattoo, same size, same everything for 125 $ less, really? Plus I knew the tattoos would come out great there, where I was unsure about the new artists at addictions.
So he said he wasn’t interested in waiting or the tattoo anymore and that it was overpriced, to which this individual got so «upset» that the other guy (said I don’t want to do your tattoo either (to me) take your money back. Apparently business is dispensable. Seriously these new tattoo artists are very unprofessional, have attitudes, would rather put what THEY want to on YOU, and would rather joke around and socialize with each other than to do their actual jobs and work. A shame since the tattoo business is about getting your art out, making people happy, NOT money.
Addictions used to be far better than it is now, this shop is not the first place i refer friends to anymore after these experience (s). Piercing yes see Emily. Tattoos? steer clear till they clean up their acts and actually appreciate the business/​clients that co
