I called there to place an order the lady who answered the phone was EXTREMLY rude. She had absolutely no patience. She then decided to hand the phone over to another person and said ”I cant fucking deal with this guy” I will never return I have been going there for years… never again what a shame to have such rude people working there.

Good food all around, have had a bunch of stuff on the menu and I have no complaints other then the pricing. Place is probably family owed and I understand they got to make a living but a few weeks ago I ordered a 2 topping pizza with a small mozzarella stick and it almost came out to $ 30 dollars which in my option is insane, but the pizza was really really good. So take it for what it is, the food is good but can be a little pricy at times. Only reason for not giving 5 stars. And a plus here is that they stay open till 10 where it seems everyone else closes shop at 9 in the area, big plus.

There’s certainly nothing that stands out at this local pizza and sub shop. It’s very popular with the residents of south Salem because there aren’t a lot of other options in this part of town. The pizza and sub are subpar, but the prices are right on and the staff is friendly. You’d do better going to Amore about a mile down the road any day of the week.

Food was amazing. counter needs help. Was yelled at. She rolled her eyes at me, had an attitude. I was not the only person who noticed it. Multiple times. Hire more help?

This place has a killer roast beef sandwich! Simply amazing and hands down gotta be the best on the entire northeast. The Jr Beef easily feeds three people. Plain, or with cheese or BBQ sauce — just cannot go wrong. Their pizza is typical Greek style pizza. Onion rings as others have noted are great also. Spinach pie is delish — they sell out quickly so they do not always have it. If you decide to dine in and have a beer with your sandwich it won’t break the bank at all. I’ve never had them but my daughter just loves the steak tips. Why I didn’t give it five stars? The down side — they take forever! If you can, order ahead and pick it up. I’ve waited the better part of a half hour — if they are heating up the spinach pie — that takes 20 min — better to take iit and heat it up at home. The older woman gets flustered easily and speaks out abruptly — she adds a bit of drama to the place but she isn’t always there and basically she is a nice person.

Been a family treasure for nearly 25 years. A star for sub joints all over. What to get: Super Beef Sandwiches, Steak Bombs, Fish Dinners. Fries and Onion Rings are also great for the sides. Place is legendary. The guy that talked about them opening 10 minutes late? — Should be banned from this website. There are not many of these places left. Don’t let the flame die, go in and eat. Truly my favorite.

I frequent this place quite a bit. Mainly since it’s right down the street and convenient. I’ve always enjoyed the food(mostly order the pasta and chicken, chicken wing dinner, sub or pizza) but the new counter help is terrible! The woman who I believe owns it is very nice but the new woman is rude. I called to make a pick up order. She immediately starts huffing and puffing on the other end. I stated that I wanted to order a steak and cheese sub and she immediately starts saying she doesn’t understand what that is, etc. I start saying it louder and she says, «sigh. I have no idea what you’re saying? Bacon and crumbs??? Ugh» I then repeat myself again for her to say, «Oh. Ok. We’ll see you soon!» I didn’t even want to go there after that. Another time my boyfriend and I went and placed an order for take out and decided to wait for our meal. 15 minutes go by. 30 minutes go by. Then almost an hour. We check in and the young girl at the counter stated she lost the ticket. Greaaaaat! Another 25 minutes go by and we finally have food. They offered a free bottle of soda in the end but it was exhausting waiting for so long for so long for something simple. I’ve always enjoyed the food but some new staff members wouldn’t hurt. UPDATE: Have tried B. H since this review and I didn’t think things could possibly get worse! My bf & I ordered a delivery order at noon. We ordered a cheese pizza, wings, buffalo chicken quesadilla and a sub. She asked if I wanted onions and peppers on the quesadilla and I said that I didn’t. An hour goes by. We call back and they said to pick it up ourselves in 5 minutes. WHAT! We get there and they forget the wings. We have to wait some more. We get home, it is now 2:30pm and the quesadilla is wrong and hard as a rock. That and there were 2 large orders of onion rings with our order that we didn’t ask for. This use to be my go-to place but they were having a very off day!

The pizza is okay. I’m not crazy about the dough but that’s my preference. The dinner entrees are what I come here for, though. Subs are always delicious and packed full(they don’t skimp you like other shops). The owner runs an honest business and really cares about his customers.

I just wanna punch anyone who gives this place a bad review. Rick T. the dumbass who wrote the 1 star review below me is an idiot. So they opened 10 minutes late. STFU and give them a break. That is not a reason to give a great business a 1 star review. I just moved back to the area and this was the first place I wanted to eat at. Roast beef sandwiches are the best and the fish and chips. This is place is like home to me I LOVE it! SUCKONTHATRICK T.

Came in here a few weekends ago while in the area. It was about 4 in the afternoon with kickoff to the Pats game just around the corner. It was pretty busy and I decided to order a buffalo chicken sub with lettuce, tomato, red onions and bleu cheese. It wasn’t horrible tasting, same frozen chicken fingers that every other place has. But is it so hard for anyone to assemble a sandwich right? Over stuffed with all the condiments on top so it all falls out before you even get to eat it. I’ll try the pizza here sometime, but I won’t be ordering a sub from here anytime soon.

I have been eating here for over 20 years, I work in town. There food is great, try a roost beef sandwich, or steak and cheese, huge and awesome. There pizza is very good and great fried seafood, I’ve also had salads there very good. I’m surprised to see some bad reviews.

I heard about this place from a friend a while back and I want to say they recommended their lobster rolls but since it’s not really lobster season, we(a friend and I) still decided to give it a try as we were in the area for errands. Arrived on a Friday afternoon around 2 pm, a lady was at the front counter on the phone and serving a customer ahead of us. The posted menu does not list prices but there was a stack of menus on the counter with the prices(menu also on line). We took a few minutes to decide on what to share. The lady was friendly(but not very smiley) and may have been one of the owners. There were several men behind her cooking/prepping, all appear to be possibly family based on their interactions. A small steak bomb was served to the customer ahead of us and it was HUGE! We decided on a super roast beef sandwich served on a onion roll with sauce and extra sauce on the side, small onion rings and the small spinach, tomato, onion(no feta) calzone. She asked if we wanted everything served at once as the calzone would take a while and we said«no», we’ll take the roast beef and onion rings first. We waited about 25 minutes and started to think she forgot that we wanted the first 2 items first. When she called us, that was not the case, the calzone was still cooking. We wondered what took the roast beef and onion rings so long to prepare/cook? The roast beef was huge(as many reviewers warned) and overflowing with meat but no sauce. We had to ask for sauce which was served in a plastic container. The beef was melt in your mouth, not very flavorful without the sauce. The onion roll buttered and grilled. The onion rings were piping hot, flaky but as they cooled, there was a lot of grease on the paper plate. We were almost done with our roast beef when she called us up for the calzone(which was also huge and cut in to 4 pieces). The filling was ample, crust crispy and very cheesy(topped with mozzarella) and hot! We were able to finish ½ of the calzone, all of the roast beef(less some of the onion roll) and about ¾ of our onion rings. Two bottles of water … total tab $ 33.00. If you have a big appetite, this is the place to go.

Decent food I guess but the service was horrible. Girl in the front seemed to have an attitude problem and would not even hand me my credit card back when i had my hand out for it. Instead she placed it on the counter along with napkins with an attitude. Next time I stick to Stachys next door. Edit… No the steak and cheese was greasy and not salted wasn’t even good steak even if they did season it. Never again.

Great food here. Pretty ticked off that the phone line has been busy for the past 30 mins… Get it together. Very sad that I had to take my business elsewhere that night. I tried… Update. Called again today, Friday 3⁄20 same thing. Busy phone line… Apparently they don’t want anyone to call them on a Friday. I will never buy here again. Such a shame

Blue house is located right off rt 28 in Salem Nh. So i lived in Salem for a short term with my I laws while my partner and I were looking for a house. This was one of our go to take out places!(we’re pizza lovers) So this place lives up to its name. It’s literally In a blue house! There pizza is awesome! It’s a Greek style pizza with the perfect amount of sauce to cheese. The other thing blue house is known for are there homemade onion rings! Amazing! So if your in the area stop in for a pizza and some onion rings! It won’t disappoint!:) Happy eating:)

Update: The owner, as promised, delivered us a free Italian-Style pizza which was, as always, delicious. As for«Lassie,» apparently, my last review«offended» her so she’s moved on. Perhaps she’s now working at Subway where she is informing customers that they do not serve submarines as Subway is a sandwich shop.
