My wife and I could not be happier with our experience with Doug! We were first time homebuyers, so we had a lot of questions. Doug guided us through the process with good humor, tons of expertise and excellent responsiveness to our many calls and emails. Although I am sure that he has many clients, he never made us feel like we were just a number because he was always on top of our case, moving things along, and communicating effectively with our mortgage people and, once we had made an offer, the sellers’ agent. When we weren’t sure what to do or how to proceed, it was very reassuring to know that Doug has many, many years of experience in real estate on the North Shore. He was able to contextualize some of the issues we were looking at (anywhere from deciding on a property and negotiation of the offer to the results from the inspection and the appraisal) within his broad experience, which made us feel better as first-​timers who were not really aware of the process. I would not hesitate to recommend Doug to anyone looking to buy a house, but first time homebuyers should know that you could not find a better guide through the sometimes stressful and confusing process!
