First Due Gear focuses on equipping public safety personnel with the

Gear, tools and equipment that they need to do their jobs safely and

efficiently. Our number one goal is to provide superior service by responding promptly to all

questions, quote requests and orders. We want you to have access to the gear you need at

the most affordable prices. We are owned and operated by a local Fire/​Rescue family

and we hope to meet and serve you and your department in the near future. Stay Safe!

History

Established in 2006.

We opened our doors in September of 2006 at 1806 Thompson Memorial Dr. in March of 2011 we moved to 2111 Apperson Dr. The owners are Jarrod and Sarah Fuhrman, Jarrod is a firefighter/​medic with the City of Roanoke and Sarah runs the shop.

Sarah is the mother of twins, the wife of a career firefighter, a daughter and sister. She has made First Due Gear her lives work, hopefully to pass on to her children, if they would like it.
