First-Rate Moving

I would highly recommend First-​Rate Moving, LLC. They were excellent!!! They were so professional, worked quickly and were friendly and polite. Their rates were excellent! Well worth the money! I was moving to a third floor apartment apartment and they unloaded my entire truck, up three flights of stairs, in less than an hour! They took great care taking everything off the truck and nothing was damaged. The owner Jay contacted me several times prior to the move to confirm and let me know when they would arrive. Such a great company, I am so glad I chose them!!! If you’re looking for a great moving company, you should pick them, you will not be disappointed!

Jay and one of his employees helped my family with a move this past summer. We had a few heavier items (washer, dryer, hardwood furniture, tires and tools) to move from one storage unit to another. It was only a 15 mile move but the help from First-​Rate Moving was what made it all possible. The team met us at our old storage unit, loaded their truck, followed us to the new storage unit and unloaded everything into it in the order we requested. In addition to the wonderful help we received another thing that stood out to me was how quickly Jay responded to emails, and the fact that he texted us when he was on the way to our storage unit. Those are two great sellers that is not guaranteed from a larger moving company. We were very thankful for their service and will contact them again in the future!

Jay was very responsive and professional. His team was quick, friendly, and timely with my move from New Hampshire to New York City. All of my pieces were moved with no damage. I highly recommend Jay for his integrity and commitment to quality moves.

I just don’t know where to start… words cannot describe the horrible experience I had. Jay went to see my storage unit and I asked for him to rent the largest moving truck because I had a lot of furniture. On moving day he showed with a medium size truck, I was dissapointed. He guaranteed that all my furniture would fit. Him and one inexperienced mover packed truck tightly and as a result a lot of my belongings were broken/​damaged. My $ 4’000 hutch was chipped in most of the bottom. The legs on my sofas looked like if someone took sand paper and stripped the paint off of them. I had my box spring and mattress in plastic protector to see them ripped and soiled with dirt was horrendous. I had to pay $ 150.00 to have matresses cleaned. I need to have my furniture repaired too. Anytime I addressed something because I was concerned Jay snapped at me and argued. He’s helper told my aunt who was with me that he had a bad temper. To make this story short… all of my belongings did not fit in the truck and quite a few were left in the storage. I had to hire other movers to finish moving. Jay tried to charge me for the truck rental after he said truck was included in moving fee. The guy is just a complete JERK. He went as far as to say that my furniture was damaged because I asked many questions and interrupted him. LASTLY he sent a text message the next morning trying to excuse himself and asking to come to an agreement to finish moving my belongings. I’m going to take the necessary steps to make sure this does not happen again. DO NOT GIVE BUSINESS TO THIS MAN!

Jay and his coworker Jay moved me out of one apartment and into another one a month later. They were professional, punctual and had a wonderful attitude! Got the job done fast and were very careful and respectful of everything! Would absolutely recommend Jay to anyone looking to move and would hire them again!!!

Jay and Miguel helped move my mother in law into a new apartment. They were friendly, efficient, and conscientious. It wasn’t a huge job, but they treated it like one. I highly recommend them, and would definitely hire them again.

Jay was quick to respond and did a great job moving me. Being a Disabled Veteran, Jay, did all the work. Also Jay drove 25 min to pick up my lift recliner which makes it easier for me to stand. I highly recommend jay and his team. Thanks Jay. Bob
