The food is always delicious; service is excellent. My only complaint is that in the winter, patrons eating there are freezing. Even the people in back of my booth were complaining and shivering! The owners claim that their ovens provide enough heat and lose heat when the doors open. They also stated that their thermostat was set at 70 degrees. I think not! Giovanni’s, please stop worrying about yourselves being hot with the ovens on. You want your patrons to be satisfied, then please turn the heat on in the winter!

Pizza OK. Better options close by. Everyone has their own taste. Cheese good, crust avg, sauce meh.

Subs are good, friendly people. I wouldn’t order the onion rings — I’ve ordered them 3 times from here, the first time they were a sloppy, soggy mess, the second time they were awesome, and the third time(picture uploaded) was a sloppy, soggy mess again, and barely lukewarm even though they cooked them as I walked through the door to pick them up. Sometimes the online price on checkout is MORE than if you pay at the store? Just always use the«cash» option and pay inside if you decide to use the online ordering system.

Received an order today for our entire office, $ 100 order. The delivery driver(who was a sweetheart) was missing half of our order. The food that was delivered was ice cold. Fries, chicken, etc. When our office manager called back to ask what could be done, they said they would remake the food, however the lunch would be over by the time it was remade and then redelivered our break would be over. They offered half a credit. Very disappointed in today’s service. Shame as they are otherwise a good fast food establishment.

Everything is super greasy. Heard great things and was pretty disappointed. The place is supposedly known for their roast beef but I’m not sure why it’s awful. The pizza is soaked in grease and has no taste. Do yourself a favor and walk across the street to Romanos.

Love their Pizza, only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is because I haven’t tried their grinders !

The portion size of their steak tip salad has diminished considerably from my last visit… and that’s a shame. $ 10 bucks for a plate of mostly lettuce? Never again.

To all of you that have shown concern over my tapeworm, you all will be glad to know its under control, for now. Tonights dinner is just a Pastrami sub and fries… and of course a few beers at home.

Food is ok… kinda greasy, but the spinach and cheese calzone is tasty after you pat it down a bit. The service is horrendous! They charge a delivery fee that doesn’t go to the driver. Their reasoning…“you’re paying us for the convenience”. Yeah, we’re paying them to screw their drivers. If your order is wrong, they will not deliver the correction, even if you’re at work. Don’t believe the home page of their site. Customer satisfaction is clearly not their top priority.

Best roast beef in town. Onion rings are thin and greasy though. Still worth it for the roast beef.

Just moved to Salem and tried to order online. I said tried because it wouldn’t work and when we called the unwillingness to help and short answers were a turnoff. The real turnoff, once we were set to order was the order showing up wrong. It seemed they took customers for granted, which is unfortunate as we order out a couple times a week. Every customer is important andevery customer interaction is important.

Their pizza is really good, I love their crust. Their subs are good. Their steak tip salad is better than any other in town, although one time I had it the meat was way over tenderized. Their roast beef is really good, usually. I have had it probably 20+ times, and maybe once or twice something was ‘off’ tasting. The meat wasn’t bad, it just tasted weird. They did bring me a new one, still weird. Every other time it has been delicious though, and I wont let one slip up keep me from going back(I’ve been back many times since). Their prices are better than their competition across the street, however I don’t like paying a delivery charge, since I still always still tip the driver as usual.

I can only comment on the salads at Giovanni’s. The chicken kabob and steak kabob salads are DELICIOUS! My husband and I get them almost once a week when we don’t feel like cooking. The salad is crispy and fresh and you get a generous amount of tender, flavorful marinated chicken or beef that is grilled fresh. Served with their homemade Greek dressing and huge wedge of fresh Pita bread, it is a satisfying and filling meal. I can’t ever finish my salad and end up giving my husband half of my chicken. Yummy! Oh, and we have never encountered any rude empolyees. Everyone has always been really nice.

I am a recent convert — the pizza here is excellent. You open the box and what you see is a perfect pizza. We ordered a large Pepperoni/Mushroom. It arrived very promptly. The driver was polite almost to a fault. The pizza was just right — hot, not too much or to little of anything. Moist, but not oily. All toppings uniformly distributed, not burned on the bottom, no cheese sagging off to one side. Oh, and great flavor! This is my new«go-to» place for pizza and subs. We also ordered 3 subs — an Italian, a Roast Beef, and a Cheese Steak Bomb. The Italian and the Roast Beef were gobbled straight down with by other family members, commenting on how good they tasted. I had the Cheese Steak Bomb and though it was quite good, I thought it tasted a little salty — that’s why I knocked off one star. I have to question some of these other review’s here — like the one about ordering daily, but not liking the experience. There are two other pizza shops in walking distance of this place.

Ok for a back up if Romano’s is busy. Staff is nice, food is ok. They put tomatoes in their Caesar salads.

Used to love this place. The woman taking orders is so condescending and rude just hearing her voice annoys me. She hung up on me when I was asking to speak to the manager. I have no issues with a place making a mistake, it is how the make good on it and this place failed miserably. I Will NEVER order from here again until they fire that woman.
