This shop has been located on state street for 20 years. They offer adorable gifts, clothing, jewelry, home Décor, candles, soaps, children’s novelties and more. The gift wrapping is adorable to top it all off. A must see in Salem or.

This shop is such a treasure, packed with all sorts of wonderful goodies and trinkets ~ so many lovely items, artfully displayed. The service is always friendly. This is exactly the kind of shop I want to buy one-​of-​a-​kind gifts from. Definitely worth your time & your business!

Love Ma Valise. I have shopped here for years, but they are turning into a clothing store and I don’t care for the selection. I miss the cute little gifts and such that they used to carry. Still a great store to pick up something that you would not find at a big box store. I recommend checking them out.

Woo Hoo… I get another «FIRST»
This edited review is for Ma Valise (two words, my GPS had a tough time with the spelling) which I think means «my bag or suitcase». Look for the big clock on the State Street sidewalk.
Right around the corner from The Brick Tavern (more my kinda place)… is this boutique gift shop. Upstairs is the hair salon «Havana»…(been there, see review)
Guys, don’t be scared off by the ladies’ fashion stuff in the windows. They have a great selection of (every possible occasion & a few risqué) cards and unique stocking stuffers. Lots of stuff to take to the host for a party and I’m TOLD a huge selection of ribbons… but someone else will have to back me up.
I think women will find more of what they are looking for (or more likely, NOT LOOKING but just FIND) here. Guys are more likely to find something here for a lady friend that will NOT be found in the Sunday paper.
Did I mention you can park right in FRONT of the place? Big points for THAT ! Beats the hell out of the mall. And I’m told there are plans for a bar next door.
They have a lot of womens fashion clothing, scarves & accessories that I’m not qualified to address but I think most women would love to pick something up here and not worry about seeing it later at Macy’s.
I can’t wait to review the bar next door.
