If you like tostadas, they make the best! Small and scooped with lots of filling. Crisp little tortilla. Can’t get enough of them!

Cheap and relatively filling burritos. The drinks are really good and the food is quite delicious. Parking is really easy as there is big empty lot next to the facility.

The burritos r ok, not enough meat to get the flavor of the meat. The tacos r ok as well, I think the pastor meat has the most flavor and carne Asada did not have any flavor, like it was re-heated. There chipotle sauce is good, but there verde sauce has no flavor.

So far some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Salem. The place is only open until 3 pm on weekdays, which is the downside. Staff was friendly and the price is very reasonable.

Their burritos are really good(especially the guacamole on them) and their salsa is nice and fresh. One of the better Mexican restaurants within walking distance of my school.

After visiting here for lunch about a dozen times, I feel compelled to write a review praising Monarcha for what it is, a cheap and tasty no frills Mexican joint. I think the first and only reviewer seemed to think Monarcha was something its not supposed to be. This isn’t like most of the godawful Mexican food in Salem(Los Arcos, Hacienda Real, Cozumel, etc…) and I think tha its what the reviewer who gave it three stars was expecting. If you are in the mood for a good burrito, cheap prices, and friendly staff give Monarcha a try. You aren’t going to find anything truly unique, its your typical fare — carne asada, chicken, carnitas, fried tacos, etc…
