Welcome to Salon Argent ~ We have a talented group of independent artists. Each one of us enjoy fashion, art, music, and culture. Our goal is to connect with each client according to their hair needs. We take the time to listen, work proper, and make beautiful creations. Most importantly is our desire to make people happy. To offer the best quality and time we need to create. We prefer to go by appointment only. As such prices are ultimately determined by the artist. Consultations are always complimentary.

Jamie has been in the world of hair for years, graduating from MJ Murphy School of Cosmetology Midland, Michigan to mastered style and color at Gram Webb Academy in Washington DC. Once moving to Salem, Oregon her real journey began. Opening multiple successful salons and educating with some of the top Stylist in the industry to then train over 90 in house stylists. Teaching specific cuts and using different techniques. From dry cutting long hair, razor cuts, sharp edges, men’s fades, curly hair to fine hair.

Jamie has done my hair for several years now and she always does a great job with the cut and color. She’s a true hair artist; the real deal. She’s also a terrific person with an amazing positive attitude, which I really appreciate after years of «mean girl» stylists and gossips. The salon is so pretty, feminine, and relaxing, and you know the people there love what they do, particularly Jamie. Highly recommend!

This was my first time at this salon and was originally supposed to have my service done by Amanda but she had an emergency and handed me over to Colinda. Would not recommend her. I went in for balayage and she used the teasing method which completely ruined my hair and I have had to spend another hundred dollars trying to get it fixed, which I will ultimately have to cut about 8 inches. Her teasing method left me with broken hairs and uneven patches of color. She yanked on my wet tangled hair from the harsh backcombing. When I brought up my concerns she said my hair was already dry. As a professional hair expert, she should not have followed through with the service if she felt it would compromise the integrity of my hair.
I also felt very rushed with my service when her next client showed up and was waiting for her to finish styling my hair. I consulted with another salon and she agreed that the broken hairs were a result of the severe backcombing. Would not recommend this salon.

I was disappointed with the professionalism of the workers. I showed up on time for my appointment and no one was at the facility because they had left to get Dutch brothers. Two other clients were waiting around outside of the facility. I waited for a while and left. Needless to say I will not be returning.

My stylist listened to what I kind of hairstyle I wanted and made some suggestions too and asked which way I would like it! Of course suggestions always help because they are masters of the art of hair. I listened to her suggestions but she was totally willing to do it the exact way I wanted too. My hair turned out beautifully and it was something really different from what I had before. I’m glad I listened to her. I didn’t know if I would like it but I love it :) I will definitely be going back. It is a great atmosphere. I love the way they Decorate inside too, great interior design. Plus if you get there early, there is a little shop inside to look around with tea sets and more, if you don’t want to read a magazine.

I called ahead to make sure they had some who knew how to cut curly hair. They told me yes over 19 year experience. When I got there my stylist (Jamie) was 15 mintues late however the place was super cute! When it was finally my turn the stylist hurried fast through my wash and got me wet. When it time to cut my hair I told her I wanted layers due my very curly hair. I didn’t notice until I got home she gave me one layer, 6 inches from the end of the layer to the end of length of my hair. After the hair cut she blew dried my hair but not with a brush but by combing it with her fingers. Again my hair is curly and frizzy! After she that she curled it, well attempted to. I walked out with my a red hair afro. My hair was so big and not curly or cute. I felt like she rushed. I will never go back and will never recommend this place!

I recently tried out Salon Argent for the first time and my appointment was with Kristin for a cut and color and she was awesome!
I’ve tried several salons since moving to Salem about two years ago and hadn’t found the right fit until now.
Kristin was welcoming and very friendly. She was easy to talk with made me feel right at home which I really appreciate. She also didn’t try to pressure me into a bunch of add on services or products I didn’t need.
I will definitely be returning and also referring my friends and clients to her as well!

After looking over some of her work on Unilocal,I decided to schedule an appointment with Kristin. I am so glad I did!
I was ready for a big change. My hair was too long and damaged and I had been rocking the same blonde highlights for the past several years. Kristin masterfully executed my vision of shoulder length, red hair. I was really impressed that she foiled in another color (a shade lighter red) to give my hair subtle dimension. The end result looks amazing!
The salon itself was really clean and artfully decorated. Kristin was an easy person to talk to while passing the time and the cost of the cut and color was very reasonable. Great all around! I definitely recommend Salon Argent!

I had been looking for a new hairstylist and didn’t know where to go and a friend had told me to check out Salon Argent. I checked out Kristen’s work and read her reviews which were all good. I was blown away by Kristen! She was so easy going and friendly! I felt at easy and she really took the time to find out what I wanted. Coming from Portland I was so used to over priced places that didn’t really listen to what I wanted. Kristen took the time and did an amazing job. Getting my hair done was such a pleasure and the time flew by :) I would highly recommend Kristen!

Ask for Drew Teal! I have been getting my hair cut by him since 2003, starting in Seattle. I moved to Portland in 2011 and tried just one other salon down here before deciding driving back to Seattle for haircuts with Drew was worth the trip. When I learned he had moved to a salon in Salem I couldn’t believe it! A one-​hour commute instead of a three-​hour commute to see him is like winning the jackpot!
I’m not even a passionate hair person that gets color and styles it AT ALL. The most I am willing to commit to my hair is blowdrying it, so it has to have a fabulous cut or else it would be a disaster. Drew understands my lifestyle and knows exactly how to cut my thick-​in-​places-​thin-​in-​places-​straight-​in-​places-​wavy-​in-​places hair.
He also cut all of my friends’ hair, ranging from super-​straight, fine, and short to thick and wavy Latina hair with color and we were always happy.
Plus he is super friendly and easy to talk to. Well deserving of a 5-​star rating.

Ask for Drew! I recently had an appointment for a haircut with Drew Teal at Salon Argent in Salem, Oregon. I was very happy with the outcome. He was very professional. He first did a consult to really gain a perspective of what I wanted, but he also gave me his professional recommendation and advice based on my hair. He has great attention to detail and cares about the integrity of hair. I left with an amazing haircut.

Drew is awesome! He used to cut my hair in Seattle before he moved to Oregon. I was so sad when I found out I had to find a new stylist. I always left the salon feeling great and refreshed. I also, loved that he always had recommendations when I was unsure of what I wanted and gave great advice on products that were good for my hair type (fine hair). Lastly, the grow out of my hair always looked great. So much so that people actually asked if I had cut it again. Now, that’s the sign of an great stylist! He is also super friendly and personable! I will definitely be scheduling an appointment with him if I’m in the area.

I went to Argent Salon after my hair dresser quit cutting hair and became a painter. The stunning hair dressers had cut my son’s hair for a couple of years. I walked in and had this super friendly beautician Kristen Miller cut my hair, it came out better than ever. I got complements on my hair all over town. So Ms Miller is my awesome «Go To Hair Gal» now ! Give Argent Salon a try you won’t regret it ! They even give customers free soda so you can have a tasty treat while you chill out and get beautified :))

Jamie is amazing! I love when I am able to go in and get my hair done from her, Is’t always a great time and I come out feeling amazing! Jamie is so educated on hair and wanting to try new things. If you go to Salon Argent as for Drew. He cut and styled my hair for seven years in Seattle… and I will have to find a way to get to Salem to see him. Every cut was great, he listened to what I wanted and I always left with a cute style. He taught me a lot about my hair and how to care for it. Enjoy him Salem!
