History

Established in 1936.

SELCO Community Credit Union is a not-​for-​profit consumer cooperative that was established in 1936 when local school teachers and school employees pooled their funds together in a shoe box to offer each other loans in times of need.

For more than 75 years, SELCO Community Credit Union has worked to develop life-​long relationships with our members. We realize how important credit unions are to the economic success of not only individuals but entire communities.

With a network of branch offices located throughout western and central Oregon, SELCO provides service to more than 100,000 members locally, nationally and worldwide. We now serve 26 counties in Oregon.
