Salem, OR: very friendly staff
As soon as you walk into the store you are greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. I was there to look at their selection of Fromm’s no grain dog kibble and a staff member walked me over to them. They stock quite a selection of no grain kibble, as well as a variety of natural dog treats, toys, leashes, collars and other doggie paraphernalia. They also offer feline food and goodies.
On a second visit, I brought along our two poochies. The same warmth was extended to them, where each received a generous dose of petting and was offered an edible treat. They even insisted on helping me carry out my bag of kibble.
They will keep track of maufacturer’s frequent buyer proofs of purchases for you. A sister store is located on Market St, by Lancaster Dr. Prices are very competitive (no sales tax a plus!). Plenty of parking in this fair sized strip mall, which includes a Human Bean espresso drive through.
An extra star for the great customer service. An exchange was easily made, with no questions asked.
Will stop in again if in the area.

Still get 5 stars from me! Always cheaper than the big box stores, excellent customer service, and I’m supporting the local guy! A win-​win situation! Just wish they were open on Sundays, but I am glad they get a day off.

The best pet shop in Salem. Prices are great. Way lower that Petco or petsmart. Huge inventory of dog and cat foods and all the toys you could want. That guy Josh who works there is super nice and friendly. I won’t shop anywhere else!

Very knowledgeable staff. All employees are friendly, helpful, and able to answer any questions. I love when they give samples out so I can try new products. I only wish they were open a little later.

I do all of my dog’s shopping here! My only complaint is that they aren’t open on Sundays when I do most of my shopping… isn’t the world is supposed to revolve around me? Great foods like Stella & Chewy’s, Honest Kitchen, Sojo’s, Orijen, and Acana with good prices and occasional specials. If y’all carried bird supplies, I wouldn’t shop anywhere else!

Love this store. Great location, friendly employees who are very helpful and even entertain my daughter. I only go here for all of my pet supplies.

Nice big independent pet store with a large selection of toys, food and snacks. The staff were very nice and I noticed the prices were quite reasonable. I live closer to the Market Street one but just happened to be in the area so I stopped by.

Very helpful and friendly staff, and better prices than the «big box» pet store (Petco) across the street.
For instance, Feliway diffuser here is $ 21.99, exact same thing at Petco (even on sale) is $ 29.99. Less extreme, basics like cat litter and food are also a few bucks cheaper here compared to Petco.
They’ve recently moved into a larger space in the same shopping center, and are starting to carry more items, although they already have a good selection.

It does not get any better than South Salem Pet Supply. They provide the most amazing customer service and are incredibly friendly and fast! Not only this, they support local pet care businesses and are always participating in good causes. It doesn’t get any better.

Spectacular place. Every time I go, I get exceptional service and learn something new about how to raise my puppy the best I can.
They have quality food and most anything else you could need for your pet. I hope after moving soon that I can find a place that cares about their customers and their pets this much near my next home!

Great selection of pet food, this is the only place in the area I could find that carries Orijen. I’m VERY picky about what I feed my dog, so I was thrilled to find it near my Salem apartment. Friendly staff, but for some reason there always seems to be obnoxious toddlers running around here. I get the impression that they belong to a staff member.
