It’s too bad the owners of this place have become so greedy. I have shopped here a few times over the years, first at the smaller location closer to downtown and now at their larger place. I have found a few items here and there, but I have thought some things were a little pricey. Now I am understanding why. I attempted to have a booth at their new location. First off their vendor contract is a bit much. I was charged $ 85 for a five foot space plus 10% commission. My booth was pottery, so I needed to sell at least $ 94.50 just to break even on the space rent. I had teapots that were hand made and would take several hours to complete, then there’s your materials: clay, glaze and electricity and gas from two firings. I sold a couple for $ 45 and another design for $ 55. The first of January they announced on Facebook that they were raising their commission to 12% which doesn’t sound like a lot but when you’re barely breaking even to have their commission raised without any notice. I thought that was really unprofessional to announce this(they were giving themselves a raise) over social media. It’s a wonder how some of the booths stay there. I was accidentally given someone else’s envelope which is how as a vendor you know what items have sold, they take the paper tags off of what item gets sold and that person had only $ 38 worth of sales so just by having their items at the Fussy Duck they lost $ 47. The owners Jim and Risa are pleasant in the beginning, but when you announce you are leaving as a vendor they change their tune. I’ve come in multiple times and have seen the lights turned off in my booth. They want to be demanding about what time you can take your booth down and claim to be strict with their contract. Well FYI the contract I signed says what days and times the store will be open(they closed without notice Jan. 1st) and the contract I signed said 10% commission not 12%. I’ve heard other vendors are upset too and have seen some open spaces. I wonder how long it will take before others get fed up and leave as well.

This should be on the Chamber of Commerce map for a must stop and see spot in Salem. Every nook and cranny is full of surprises

well let’s try this, this place is a garage sale at one location. this is not what you would normally expect but here in Salem anything is possible this place is not worth a damn. forget trying to find any quality objects here at least the first time I was there is nothing here. they give the image that they’re better than that but truly there lost. I walk the entire store upstairs and down and there maybe been 1 item I might have one to buy. this is just truly rehashed old junk store. with a fancy label on it.

Delightfully charming and uniquely trendy! So many hidden treasures as you meander through the store. The staff are friendly, outgoing and very helpful… making you feel welcome and inviting you back… which we for sure will be!!!

I usually stop by about once a month to see what new things have been put out. /some vendors are really good about rotating items, while others seem to have the same things each time. I think the prices are a tad higher here than at other similar stores for the same items, however I’ve still managed to pick up a few items at for a good deal.

Love love love!!! I’m not much of a «thrifter», as I prefer to get my bargains via clearance sections at regular stores. However, this is really because most thrift stores are filthy junk yards – filled with the types of folk who get a kick out of buying tired old furniture for way too much or a faded wooden sign with a snappy slogan. This place, though? Is awesome. Consignment is different in that it’s quality, clean stuff as opposed to garbage someone dumped off at Goodwill donation center. While walking though I found no less than 100 items I would personally adorn my home with – and, being a minimalist, that means something. I will be back when I close on my house to buy buy buy! Note: There are tons of fabulous lamps here. Most are not for sale, unfortunately. I left my phone number for the owner, but she never called. :(

I love this place. I had a light fixture in mind for a party and walked in and there it was. There are little treasures everywhere in here. The gal at the front desk was super sweet.
