Just went here for the first time and had a crêpe for berry brunch. It was a real delight. My friend had a chicken salad sandwich with wonderful homemade chips. We’ll be back!

Tried Tres M for the first time today and it was delicious! The servers are obviously still learning the ropes, but that’s totally understandable. I ordered the Breakfast Scramble crêpe which had eggs, potatoes, spinach, and some kind of delicious cheese sauce in it. It was really good! My company got the roast beef sandwich that she raved about, it was made on homemade bread and the roast beef was actual beef chunks, not the lunch meat I’ve become accustomed to. She upgraded to the fries which were awesome, made with purple potatoes and you get to chose the seasoning and dipping sauce for it(HIGHLY recommend the garlic chipotle sauce). Their pastry case also looked phenomenal. Will definitely be returning and am adding Tres M to the lunch rotation(which includes Oregon Crêpe Café and Little Lois of course).

I had the sous vide roast beef sandwhich; It was amazing and the cook, Erich was quite the pleasure to talk to when I told him how wonderful the food was. The potato chips were made fresh, nice and crispy, and came with great tasting ketchup. The entire place is very clean. New paint, new stools, tables, the works. Kassi, the server, was always on her toes keeping up with all of the customers needs. I had a black coffee, and the it was very smooth and not bitter at all. The only caveat… the only thing that I would say needs a major improvement for a bistro… are electrical outlets by the tables! I wasn’t too affected, because my laptop battery is very good, but it surely is an issue for some people.

After first Friday at Greenbaum’s Quilted Forest, my Mom offered me a choice of Great Harvest or a new place she had read about in the local paper. I’m always happy to be the guinea pig for food adventures, so I naturally chose the new place. Thankfully, she knew where it was located since the signage left a bit to be desired. With this being the case, I was a bit leery about this new place. However, from the moment we walked into Tres M Bistro, I was pleasantly surprised. The first thing I noticed, being a big fan of The Great British Bake Off, was the display case of delicious looking pastries. The place was spotless and decorated simply but with just enough to give it ambiance b We were greeted by a very nice young man who handed us menus and informed us we would order at the counter then sit where we’d like. The choices were numerous and all looked tasty. Mom decided on the crème brûlée waffle while I chose the banana, Nutella and cream crêpe. We both ordered coffee which came in large mugs. The young man even helped my mom carry her coffee to the table. It seemed like we had just started talking and enjoying the good coffee when our order came. The crêpe was as good as any I had while In Paris, and the waffle was the best in Salem. The only bad part was we were too full to even think of taking any pastries home with us– totally our faults as we ate every bite! I can’t say how much I was happy to have chosen Tres M Bistro. I’m looking forward to going back next week with my husband to get to try a pastry or two!

Went to Tres M this morning after hearing from a friend that they serve BEIGNETS. The people in the condos above the restaurant were given gift certs for free beignets so I assumed they were the restaurant’s signature item. I was so excited because I love beignets and I was having visions of New Orleans and the delicious beignets I had there. Well, no beignets were available at 9:30 this morning when my husband and I requested them. We got a story about only the manager /chef being able to make them and that manager wasn’t there all the time. No mention on when they might be available in the future. We left, returned home and had breakfast there. No beignets, no chicory coffee, no New Orleans street music – what a disappointment! Joan contacted me promptly, explained today’s problem with the beignets and I will look forward to trying them at the restaurant sometime in the near future.

This bistro just opened up. Food is awesome and wonderful service. I had the crab artichoke Benedict, my husband had a French casserole. They served huge crossiants with butter and jam. Had a latte. We had been waiting for this to open and we pleasantly surprised.

First visit yesterday for breakfast. They really are still getting full set up, so we expect things to improve. Minor misstep on our croissants, but 2nd round was better. Looking forward to lunch in the future, will update review at that time.
