Aqua Terra Water Service

I have been very impressed with the quality of this water system as well as how well Les takes care of his customers. There’s a real personal, caring, knowledgable effort to both educate and serve that I am particularly impressed with. I highly recommend this water system and the customer service is absolutely excellent! Definitely recommend them with confidence.

We live in Carmel and have terrible water. After doing some research, I discovered Kinetico water softeners and they referred me to Aqua Terra. Les came out, asked a lot of questions to evaluate our needs.
He recommended a smaller system than I was expecting, and it turns out he was right! It has been almost three years and we couldn’t be happier! It is easy to maintain (it helps that it requires very little maintenance other than potassium salt from Home Depot), and works great.
Les replaced some old plumbing from our old softener system as part of the job, we’ve had another plumber out since for other reasons who commented it was great work Les did.
All good, and I recommend Les and company without hesitation!

I was given a quote by the owner over the phone to repair my R/​O water filtration system for $ 60. The guy had a bunch of excuses why he was late, but he did call and let me know. He came in, looked at it and said he could fix it. $ 200 later, he attached a black rubber hose to my garbage disposal, which is not a sanitary way to do your drinking water. If you use him, get a firm quote before he touches anything. It will not be the price you were told. I got this guy on Angie’s List, so I paid twice and felt swindled. He will try to sell you an expensive water softener while he is there too. Find a better plumber!

We live in Hollister, which has notoriously bad water. When we moved into our new, old house in 2014 we contacted Aqua Terra. Les Owens came out, did the presentation on Kinetico products and the next week installed filter tanks in the basement and a reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink for drinking water. He has recently come out to change the sink filters for us. Les is easy to work with and absolutely reliable. The water quality is excellent. This really is as good as it gets, I would recommend this to close friends and family.

Les came to our house in South San Jose based on some recommendations. Although it cost more for his traveling from Salinas it was worth it. Not only did Les fixed the problems, he took time for training and troubleshooting tips to help you same money in his words.
Les seems to be the real expert on Kinetico’s and is interesting and easy to talk to. 100% recommendation no matter where you are at.

Up until recently we were using a water softener service from another company that would deliver tanks every two weeks to our house. This service was already in place when we purchased our home so we decided to keep it in place at the time we bought the house. The trouble was, we never felt like we had any soft water week after week, even when they delivered a fresh tank. After doing a lot of research and reading lots of positive reviews about Kinetico systems, we decided to give Aqua Terra a try. After Les tested our water, he found there was virtually no difference between the water outside our house (before being softened) compared to inside, which was supposed to be «softened» water. We decided to purchase a Kinetico water softening system from Aqua Terra and have never been happier with our water quality. The system works wonderfully and without using any electricity. And we finally have the soft water in our home that we’ve been paying for all along, for but not experiencing until now. Les provides great customer service and installed the system himself. You can tell he takes great pride in his work. If you are considering a water softening system, you won’t be disappointed with Aqua Terra and the service that Les provides.

We purchased a soft water & reverse osmosis drinking system from Aqua Terra about 4 years ago. I was hesitate at first but my husband was insisting this was the right company to go with. Well was he right! Not only has the system been worry & trouble free the customer service is outstanding. Being in the service field I have noticed that excellent customer service is a thing of the past. Not so with Les & Aqua Terra! He goes above & beyond. We had an issue at our house while we were away. I thought it was the water system so I called Les. He went out that very day & discovered it was a septic tank problem. He then went the extra step & explained to the tenants about septic tank usage. Les then called us & updated us on his findings so we could get the problem corrected. He didn’t say «Not My Job» — he saw the problem & took control.
Most recently I went for drinking water one night & only small amount trickling out. I emailed Les & he replied right away with I’ll be there in the morning!
The product is excellent but without great customer service it could be useless. This is not the case with Aqua Terra. You won’t be disappointed, years later we’re still very happy!

We live in a very hilly area and I called several water companies to assist us in getting drinkable water from our well. Aqua Terra was the only company that offered a complete system to meet our needs and included the necessary installation in the and follow up service in the process. I have been leasing both the soft water system and the reverse osmosis drinking water system from Aqua Terra for more than 4 years. Other than the yearly filter changes (included) on the drinking water and the salt delivery for the soft water system I have had little need of any service attention. On the rare occasion that I needed to call, I was promptly attended to and a service person was out within a day or two depending on the nature of the call. I highly recommend this local, family run business because they have proved time and time again that they will be there when I need them.

lime, iron, chemicals, and other elements try to get into our home every day. they bring some water with them. aqua terra provided us with an under-​the-​sink filtration system that allows us to drink the water and prohibits unwanted elements from entering our home-​or us.
les and his wife are fine folk, easy to work with, and i don’t feel like i’m being up-​sold or cross-​sold when i’m there.
my excellent rock star wife changes the water in our fish tanks with the much better/​cleaner water provied by aqua terra, using their 5 gallon jugs with the larger spouts. this costs $ 3.75 for 15 gallons, instead of $ 17 at the nearby grocery store — and we don’t have to add more plastic to the landfill…
her fish live longer, which makes my wife happy.
when my wife is happy, my life is happy.

Les installed a Kinetico water softening system in our home a little over a year ago. The installation and the system are both top-​notch. It’s really cool that the Kinetico product does not require electricity. We have had no issues with the water softener and are extremely pleased with how it conditions our water. Les was very straightforward and did not try to oversell us. I would certainly recommend Kinetico and Aqua Terra Water Service as installers.

I recently installed a water softening system called Kinetico. I received great service and follow-​up calls to ensure it was installed properly and working well. I highly recommend this service. It’s been over a month since Les installed our water softener and RO drinking water system and we couldn’t be happier. The Kinetico systems are great. We have a constant supply of soft water, even during regeneration, with no noticeable drop off in water pressure (in a two story house). The K-​5 RO system provides great tasting water and the faucet not only looks elegant, but also provides a very high flow rate.
Les was great to work with. During his pitch, he didn’t sugar coat anything. He gave us the pros and cons of the systems he sells, and directly compared the Kinetico systems to the spec sheets of the competition. He even debunked some of the myths we had heard from other salesmen about water systems in general. When it came time to negotiate, he was very fair and got us the systems we wanted at a price that fit our budget.
If you’re in the market for a water softener or drinking water system, or are even thinking about getting one, it’s worth your time to call Les and meet with him. His knowledge and honesty made us feel very comfortable in our decision.

After contacting 2 other vendors, I was so thankful to find Aqua Terra Water Service to install our water softener and RO system. We had a very complex installation in order accommodate the requirements of our HOA, but they were able to make things work.
