Comfort Inn & Suites

We booked the room late at the Salinas Comfort Inn on our way from San Francisco to San Diego. I just couldn’t drive anymore. They were very accommodating, very helpful and understanding with us. Comfort Inns are my most favorite places to stay, always, so I was so glad to find one along our way. The check-​in process was simple and we got a good night’s sleep, the room was quiet and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning. On our way out I saw a delivery driver bringing in new carpets. And I spoke to one of the owners at the front desk and she said that they were doing a general refurbishing of the place. Not that it needed it, but it’s always nice to have fresh, new accommodations. Thanks again Comfort Inn! You are still my favorite!

Came in late and the owners were still very very helpful. Since it was so late the older gentleman walked and my 5 year old son with me from my car to my room to be safe. even helped carry my bags. The family that owns this definitely put pride into their work and were very hospitable.
Great continental breakfast complete with eggs sausage toast fruit cereal and waffles.
Room was clean, there’s a mini fridge and microwave. The hotel is located down towards the nicer side of kern.
We stayed here and went to the aquarium. The room was much more affordable than a room in Monterey would have been and it’s just a 20 – 30 min drive. Nothing but satisfaction from this customer.

The water in the shower was barely warm. When I called the front desk about it she sent a cleaning chick to verify. She said, «That’s as hot as it gets.» When I saw the front desk woman/​owner later that morning, she flipped out on me in the hallway. Literally shouted at me. It was nuts. Maybe she was over tired but, for $ 311/​night, I want more than a slightly warm shower and I definitely don’t like being yelled at. They triple their prices on weekends, but subtract hospitality/​manners I guess.
Stay somewhere else if at all possible.

While on our road trip up the coast from S.D., we were booking hotels as we went along. This Comfort Inn was our second night stay & we were very tired. Laticia at the front desk was extremely helpful & hospitable. The room was very clean & beds were more than comfortable. This was a great stay with great staff, affordable price, & I highly recommend staying here!

Clean, modern, and conveniently located within walking distance of In-​and-​out Burger. The lobby and hallways were crazy hot and humid, compared to the air outside, but the hotel room had a well functioning climate control system that made the stay quite comfortable. Website advertises $ 89 but when you call to book they ask for $ 99. They gave us the $ 89 rate but no military discount and no rewards points. The staff are super helpful and friendly though!

Our first impression was good. Clean rooms and grounds, nice amenities, breakfast included. Our problem started our second night with ants invading our room. We called the desk and got no answer. It was late and the ants were all in the bathroom so we left it until morning. In the morning the desk promised to take care of it. They did.
At checkout I expressed my opinion that I booked Comfort Inn with the expectation that it would not have ants in the rooms and because it did I thought we were entitled to a discount. The manager felt differently. Fair enough — if they think ants are ok (and who knows what else) there are plenty of other choices out there. I’ll never stay in a Comfort Inn again.

Can I be honest? This was not my first choice in hotel. I have to go to Salinas for a training, and the Marriott was my first choice. However upon being told to go to this training with two days notice, all of the nicer hotels were booked. I chose to go with this one and I was not disappointed.
I checked in late at night and the hotel receptionist inform me of activities that I could do the next day. I was very happy with the suite on the second floor. The room was very quiet, the bed was comfortable and there were two flat screen TVs located in the room. The bathroom with pain and socks with any of it again if you forgot them. I had problems with one of the television because that cable signal didn’t come in. The hotel now inform me on how to fix it. Room service came in every day and did an excellent job refreshing my room.
This hotel included a breakfast from 630 to 930 in the morning. The breakfast consisted of sausage patties, egg patties, waffles, hot and cold cereals along with various juices. In the mornings I had boiled eggs, blueberry yogurt, and coffee in my to go cup. The breakfast area was never very full but all of the food was plentiful.
1 of their other minute easy in they offer inside pool and hot tub. I enjoyed the hot tub and the hours were pretty nice. I never saw the pool or hot time use a lot. But it was always clean and available.
Overall, I was quite impressed. I would definitely come back and frequent this hotel if I was ever in the area again. Don’t be afraid to stay here because it was rated for 2 stars. I felt like it deserve more than that

This hotel is awesome. Warm friendly service. No road noise. I got the last room. The bed was so comfy. I will be back to stay here. Totally recommend this place. :)

Seriously the best!!! Clean room! Really nice owners work at front desk and were so accommodating to my husband and I and our two year old twins!!! The pool was a blast indoor and out of the sun. The provided towels are super tiny but readily available. The breakfast was just enough and yummy! I plan to stay here every time we visit! Thank you SO much!

If I could give negative numbers as a rating I would. I am so deeply disappointed!!! The problems began from the beginning! When I checked in all the bathroom was wet the floor was wet the curtain was wet like someone had released a hurricane! The manager changed our room, thankfully. When we were downstairs one morning for breakfast, my child changed the channel on the TV in the lobby and was chastised severely by the manager. I have two children with autism and she obviously knows nothing about developmental disabilities. When I got home the problems didn’t stop. They were charging me an additional night and when I called to ask the manager for help she started yelling at me and me the racist comment, «you people always want to stay for free…»
You people? Really? I’m a hard-​working single mother of two boys I would never take a handout. How dare you make such a blatantly racist statement. So now I’m out $ 185. I will never stay at a comfort inn again. Worst experience EVER. Worst customer service ever… worst treatment of a child with disabilities, ever!!!

This a motel and not a bad value. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.
Yes they have a gym– with three pieces of broken equipment. Pool looks nice.
Breakfast is cereal and waffles. Eggs are «British style» which to me means round rubbery disks. There was sausage too and lots of Danish. Not my kind of breakfast but it’s nice if you like bread and sweets. No yogurt or fruit.
Front desk lady was super nice and friendly. Had to call several times and she was pleasant and prompt.
Stopover spot worth the money.

We checked in late like midnight. They advertise $ 89 but he asked for $ 99 so when I said no thank you he dropped it to 89. Saying he could not give me any points. I was tired and didn’t much care but then when we got to the room the dish network connection didn’t work. Sheesh what a rip. I won’t be back.

Second time here with my hubby we like staying here it’s a really nice hotel and they have great staff. The receptionist leticia will greet you very friendly. This is a great place to stay when wanting to go to monterey:) also the continental breakfast is good.

Very nice and clean facility in Salinas, which is on about 30 minutes from Monterey, but much less expensive than Monterey. Indoor pool and spa, and free breakfast are very nice bonuses.

Clean facilities, kind of in a hood-​ish part of town, but otherwise unaffected. Their Wi-​Fi totally blows, like I assume the random hookers down the street do.

Very good price if you book early.
Close location to the 101, but far enough that the rooms are quiet. Stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the room.
The TV is the old style but worked fine.
The refrigerator was nice to have to keep bottled water and dinner leftovers cold and blue-​ice frozen for the day trips. It was quiet enough that it will not keep you awake at night.
Wireless internet worked fine and was easy to connect to.
Bathroom sink counter was somewhat small so only one of us could keep our toiletry bag in the bathroom.
Complimentary breakfast was adequate. Enjoyed the make-​it-​yourself waffle.
We stayed here once before and enjoyed both times.

My family and I have stayed here on 2 separate occasions with our travel softball team for tournaments. First time was in June then again in July, we got a group discount rate.
Staff was nice and accommodating, allowing us to take over the lobby for a team pizza party :) (2 times)
On our July visit the power went out, we we’re in the dark for a few hours but it was no biggie since the kids had a blast playing with flashlights and running around.
We love the indoor pool for the girls to cool off and relax after their games.
Overall a good stay. Would return again.

We’ve stayed at a lot of places that were Choice Hotel chain, mostly because they are reasonably priced and decent quality/​service. This one meets that mold.
It had an indoor pool, and in November that made our choice easy. The place looks very new. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, but we didn’t experience any problems either. One drawback to the place: it is right off the 101, but the freeway entrance/​exit is right on the hotel frontage road and is not controlled in two directions.

This hotel is in the middle of lots of hotels right off 101, but make your stay with this place.
I’ve stayed here several times and I’ve always gotten great service. Rooms are clean, beds aren’t to bad, and a continental breakfast.
Salinas can usually be cold which makes this place nice with an indoor pool thats open.
I think its pet friendly but call first to make sure.
